Business Description
In 1883, Barney Kroger, with only $372, opened a grocery store in downtown Cincinnati. More than 120 years later, as the supermarket business has evolved into a variety of formats aimed at satisfying the ever-changing needs of shoppers, Kroger has grown to over 2,500 stores in 31 states under two-dozen banners and annual sales of more than $66 billion. Today, Kroger ranks as one of the nation s largest retailers. Kroger has pioneered many innovations in the supermarket industry. During the 1930s, it was the first grocery chain to monitor product quality and test foods. In 1972, Kroger became the first grocery retailer in America to test an electronic scanner. It was installed in a store in suburban Cincinnati. Technology plays an important role in Kroger s store operations, with more than 1,600 Kroger stores offering self-checkout. Kroger spans many states with store formats that include grocery and multidepartment stores, convenience stores and mall jewelry stores. Among the brands it operates are Fred Meyer, Ralphs, Fry s, Baker s, Food4Less, KwikStop and Tom Thumb. Kroger is headquartered in Cincinnati, and maintains a store in Middlesboro, Ky.

Pretty pathetic, that in a town and county where water pollution is ridiculously high. Kroger not only DOES NOT have a water dispenser filler, but had one in the 90's that they took out of it's store! This is doing your customers a huge disservice.

Worst Pharmacy In Town

They are way to busy to catch mistakes let alone to talk to you. I believe they bit off more than they can chew. I was a customer for years and finaly got fed up with how slow they are due to the extreme amount of customers wich I beleive contribute to the mistakes they've made with my meds. They do not inform you of all the side effects and drug interactions like a pharmacist should,at least the big ones!!! You can't depend on the doctors, they just give you what the Big Drug Companies tell them to. I always depended on the pharmacy for knowledge of the meds I took. Not anymore! I've learned alot of intereactions between my meds that they did not inform me of. Once they filled a script for me and once I got home I noticed on the print out that comes with your script that there was a SEVERE INTEREACTION with one of my regular meds! WHY DID THEY SELL ME THIS MED? It would have put me in the hospital at the least if I had taken it. They are in my opinion INCOMPETENT!!! I have finaly gotten fed up with them and transferred all my scripts and found that they are charging almost DOUBLE what other pharmacies charge for the same meds!!!
