Excellent, Compassionate Care by ALL staffmembers.

I went to FHCH after several years at the Animal Clinic of Queens. Unfortunately, my beautiful grey tabby cat,Caesar, had kidney disease that had not been diagnosed after several visits there.
I brought Caesar to FHCH in November, 2010 and he was diagnosed immediately by Dr. Nebel. Caesar was treated by all the wonderful vets, and Dr. Tuzio, was his primary vet.
I can not say enough about the loving kindness , compassion, and professionalism that Caesar (and I) received from Dr. Luger, Dr. Nebel and Dr. Tuzio .
I am so grateful for the unbelievably loving treatment from all the vet techs: Kim, Theresa, and Liz .
The lovely JoAnn, Grace, Theresa and Barbara: patient, caring, exceptionally supportive. I can't imagine better care.
Caesar was put to sleep on June 10th after a long battle to keep him healthy and happy. Thank you all.

i brought my cat in for a visit, knowing he had serious respiratory problems. had explained in advance that, being a difficult cat to visit, it was best not to stress him too much. i had also asked to not use any type of anesthesia, but they did anyway and after a whole day of so-called tests and a final bill of close to $1,000, they couldn't give me any answers on what he had!?!?
not to mention that they did use anesthesia on him and he almost died! (he had a bad reaction to it and turned blue).
when i went to pick him up, i waited over 40 minutes for Dr. Tuzio to see me and tell him what she thought of his condition and to show & explain to me his x-rays.
well, she never came out and talked to me!?
said she had other people to attend and patients waiting... while here i am, just gave them 1k and my cat is in serious problems and this woman cannot even take 5 minutes to explain his medical chart!?!? unreal!!
i could go on, but long story short, i'd never, ever, recommend Dr. Tuzio, or all the staff there for that matter, and instead, would tell anyone to go to the Animal Medical Center on the upper east side. they are the most courteous, knowledgeable and professional vets i've had the pleasure to deal with!
anyone in need of a great respiratory specialist, should seek out Dr. Broussard. i cannot say enough great things about the man - definitely a real caring vet!
