If my glasses hadn't been finished by today I would have called my Discover card and disputed the charge. I ordered my contacts, and two pair of glasses on the 31'st, I'm just now picking them up today the 10th. The first time I called to check on my glasses and contacts they said yes they're finished come on in, I got there and only one pair had been finished and the contacts hadn't arrived. So I called nearly everyday. Today they said yes they're finished come on in so I did. I got there and my glasses were not finished and the frame I wanted was on order. So they told me to pick out a new frame regardless of cost and they would cut the lenses on the spot. So I picked an expensive frame and they did indeed have them done in about ten minutes. If it had not been for the positive conversation with the salesman named Andrew, I would have walked out the door and put a stop payment on my card. I don't see the business surviving much longer, everyone I talk to has the same story.
If i could give less than 1 star i would. I went to the eye doctor here so i could get new contacts and glasses.
I bought my contacts from here in the begining of October so that i would have them weeks before. They never called me to let me know they were in. I called several days in a row asking if they were in yet after 2-3 weeks of waiting i was finally able to pick them up on Halloween. They told me they had been in for several days but because the manager had not been in they could not open the box they came in. So for the several days i had been calling and was told they werent in. They had been there the whole time.Luckily i got them in time for halloween cuz it is kinda hard to were a mask with glasses on. Ok i was not happy.All they did was offer an apology for their mistake.
It is now May i finally decided to get a new set of glasses. so that i dont have to wear contacts all the time. i figured the stuff in October was a one time thing. They cant possibly do that again. So i went in picked out my frames and lenses for the buy 1 get 1. My second pair of frames are my current glasses i was just going to get the lenses in them. They said they would have to take my current glasses and send them off to get the lenses. I thought this was strange because the last time i got new lenses in these frames Walmart just traced the current lenses for the shape and ordered the lenses. So what they agreeed to do was get my first pair in the new frames and then once those are in then they would send off my current pair. They told me that my first pair would be in by today if not yesterday. I call today as i had been instructed and they told me they werent in and wouldnt be in for at least another week. I did not have time during my lunch break to sit there on the phone with them and try and work out a solution to this.
Since this is not the first time more than an apology is in order. I would not recommend them to anyone now. I most likely will not return either.

I was in there about 3 weeks ago, in order to get some sunglasses. I got there, ordered them, paid for them, etc. and was told that they would be done a few days later, and that I would receive a call. I never did. But I wound up calling them and they were ready, so I went into the store to pick up the glasses. I got them, and tried them on, and couldn't see right. I mentioned it, and was told to give it time, since they were new glasses. After I left, I noticed that a lens was bowed out. It was not fitted into the frame properly, and they had just shoved it in. That, on top of the fact that after I wore the glasses for 10 minutes, I had a massive headache, led me to return them. I said that they were giving me headaches, and the lens was misshapen, so they took them back in order to fix them. I was told that they would call me when they were ready. They didn't. I called on the day they suggested, and found out they were ready. So I went to pick them up, tried them on, and they hadn't bothered to try and fix the prescription. I refused to take them, so they tried to figure out what had happened. As it turned out, they had read my prescription wrong. So they took them back, and I was told I would get a call when they were ready. I never did. I went back in when I was told they would be ready, and waited. I finally got my glasses, but as soon as I looked at them, I saw that they had tinted the lenses 2 different colors. One was brown and the other grey. I refused to take them and asked to speak to a manager in order to get a refund. Two hours later, I finally got to speak to him. I told him the situation and said that I was tired of messing with it and wanted a refund. He said, basically, no, but he would give me a free pair of glasses. So I agreed to that, since my glasses tend to be ungodly expensive. I picked out frames, and left. Shortly after I got home that evening, I got a call saying that they had lost my prescription, and I needed to bring it back in. That was Saturday night, so I went back in on Monday, and gave them a copy. On Thursday, I was called in to pick up the sunglasses, and I saw the manager. I asked if he had gotten my prescription, and he said he hadn't. 30 seconds later, he looked down, and said, ""Is this it?"" It had been laying on the desk for 3 days, and took me going back in for the guy to even get it. I'm still waiting on the 2nd pair of glasses. I am willing to bet money, however, that they will be wrong. And if that is the case, I will be getting a refund for everything. You can be sure of that.

Had a real hard time getting my glasses-they kept getting lost at the lens coaters. I couldn't even get mad at them because they were all such nice people and bent over backwards to make things right! I guess the lesson that I have learned is be patient and good things will come.

I just moved to the Kettering/Miamisburg area and actually came across this store on Facebook. I had been looking at a few other eyes doctors and chose Stanton based on price. When I went in for my appointment I was surprised by all of the options for frames in the lobby, and even though there were a few people being helped, I was acknowledged and greeted right away. While I was waiting for the doctor, one of the saleswomen showed me several frames and was super helpful on helping me decide. The doctor was great too, and the appointment was rather quick. Overall, I really had a great experience with this store, and everyone was more than willing to help out with my appointment and buying decision. And since I had chosen Stanton based on price, I was extremely happy that my final costs for lens, frames, etc. was what I had expected! I'll defnitely keep them as my regular eye doctor!! :)

Thanks for some great glasses! Never had a pair of glasses I could see clearly with. My eyes are so complicated, I went back to my last doctor every month, and all they could get me seeing with were hard contacts. I very happy to say, that changed after visiting Stanton Optical.
I can now see well, the glasses fit right, are comfortable and look sharp. I even got some compliments, those are the icing on the cake for me. Great job, the customer service was outstanding and competitive pricing to boot.
