 Extremely Rude - Store Manager Carlos was rude and even raised his voice in an intimidating manner during the negotiating process. As a well-educated and informed customer, I was not about to sit there and take this kind of attitude. Just because we cannot agree on the price of the vehicle, does not mean he has to raise his voice, and then proclaims, "I have other customers waiting for me! I don't want to sell you this car, please leave and good bye!"
 Dishonest and Deceptive ��� There is a fee of $348 itemized as ���Environmental Package/PURIGEN98/Ultrashield��� in the negotiation worksheet. I questioned what that was during the negotiation process, and was told by both the salesman and a manager that it is a ���Certification cost for used cars that we sell; a cost for the mechanics to check out the car and make sure it���s good���. However, there is no relationship between this so-called ���Environmental Package/PURIGEN98/Ultrashield��� item and the actual certification of a used vehicle. PURIGEN98 is nitrogen gas used in filling tires. Ultrashield is a 3M product where a thin film of clear plastic is placed on the hood of a car to protect its paint. Let me assure you that neither PURIGEN98 nor Ultrashield is on this 2005 Lexus ES330. I am an engineer and had fully inspected the vehicle, and these products are not there. If the dealer wants to sell the vehicle at a higher price, it should have been factored into the asking price in the first place. This is a dishonest and deceptive business practice. And a waste of the customer's time.
The success of your dealership comes from one satisfied customer at a time. And this time around, Potamkin Chevrolet has failed in satisfying this customer. If this has happened to me, I assure you many of your customers will feel the same way. A combination of poor customer service, rude attitude, and deceptive business practices will continue to ruin the reputation of your dealerships. I would strongly suggest a thorough investigation to be conducted at your expense to bring your level of customer service up to industry standards. This is by far the worst experience I've encountered in any car retail establishment; and believe me, I've been to plenty of car dealerships. In the meantime, Potamkin Chevorlet (and all Potamkin-associated dealers) has lost my business, and the businesses of all my friends and family. And just to be clear, I've already purchased the same vehicle from another much more reputable dealer with far better customer service at a lower price.
