Just like the planning that went into your vacation, there is planning needed before boarding your pet. Here are some dos and don'ts to help make the process a little easier.
We have been clients of Town & Country Animal Hospital for the past 24 years. Dr. Mordaunt is the most compassionate and thorough veterinarian with whom we have had experience. He and his staff are truly dedicated to the health of animals and it is very apparent that they have a genuine love for animals. The hospital offers the most services that I have ever seen in a veterinarian's office. In addition to a full lab, they have a state-of-the-art surgical suite, a dentist extraordinaire and an excellent groomer who actually listens to the client’s requests rather than doing what HE wants to do. They will do everything possible to save an animal. For example, I am on high doses of Coumadin (a blood-thinner which is the same chemical used in rat poison). One day, I had taken my morning dose of several different medications and one of the Coumadin tablets must have dropped on the floor unnoticed. One of our dogs had Huntington’s Syndrome (where the animal has such a voracious appetite that they will eat anything in sight) and she, unfortunately ate the tablet. I had no idea until the following morning when she showed signs of overdose. They worked day and night to save our dog. There is a vet tech who stays overnight in a dormitory above the hospital. The tech comes down throughout the night to check on the hospitalized pets. Dr. Mordaunt actually called us in the middle of the night to get permission for a transfusion as it was a life-saving procedure. Over the years, we have either had our dogs die of old age and cancer. The staff was so compassionate and understanding each time by sending cards and a paw print in plaster as a remembrance of our beloved pets. We trust Town & Country Animal Hospital completely with our 4-legged family members and know that they are receiving the best of care possible.
Town and Country Animal Hospital has been serving my own dogs, plus all of my rescues, for several years now. They are not only considered one of the best animal hospitals in South Florida for professional and medical reasons, but their "country doctor" approach to both me and my dogs is absolutely heartwarming. The doctors and the staff are endlessly patient and handle the dogs with such a loving, gentle touch. Equally important, they are very sensitive to the owners' concerns and questions, and never generate an anxious or rushed feeling when you're in the examination room. You KNOW you have the undivided attention of your doctor and the vet tech for as long as you need it. It's clear that they are not just in the BUSINESS of carring for animals; this team really loves what they do and the animals in their care. Luckily, my own dogs have never suffered any traumatic medical issues, but my rescue scenarios have ranged from hernia surgeries to the removal of bullets, and everything in between. The care and medical attention given these poor dogs is unmatched, not to mention the treats and playful attention. With a rescue, you never know what medical or temperament issue you're dealing with....but they handle my rescues with confidence and tenderness. Bottom line: they're superior in medical application and customer service, their establishment is always immaculate and their sincere love for animals shines through. If there was an option for a 100-star rating, that would be my choice for MY vet, Town and Country Animal Hospital.
I have been taking my pets to Dr. Mordaunt at Town & Country Animal Hospital for 11 years and I have nothing but great things to say about him, his hospital, and his staff. He has helped me through some very difficult problems with my cats and I trust him wholeheartedly. He is extremely thorough in his examination and analysis of the situation and in his research of treatment alternatives. He is compassionate, practical, and resourceful. It is obvious that he cares about his clients and has the best interest of the animals at heart. I would never trust the care of my cats and dog to anyone other than Dr. Mordaunt. Five years ago we moved to Pinecrest and I now have a much longer drive to get to his hospital. I have 6 cats and 1 dog which means I am at the vets on a regular basis; however, I will gladly make that drive every time. I wish Dr. Mordaunt was located closer to me and I am sure there are good vets that are in my area, but I am confident that none are as exceptional as Dr. Mordaunt. He has always been there for me when I have needed him and I know that I can count on him and his staff to go above and beyond every time. Dr. Mordaunt has become like family to me and I would highly recommend his hospital to everyone with a pet. They are truly the best!
The first time I walked into the pet care clinic I was welcomed with a hello and smile form the receptionist. The lobby was clean and it didn't smell like an animal clinic. I let them know that my pet enzo was not eating and having on and off diarrhea. The receptionist got all of my information and I waited only 5 min for everything to be prepared. I then was escorted to the rooms by the technician who introduced herself. She was very kind to enzo and he liked the attention. When the doctor came in, he introduced himself and asked what had been going on. He let me know what he recommended and gave me an estimate. I agreed to do everything for him and let them know that I was strapped for cash. They said it was no problem and that they could break it up into two payments, That was great, I didn't think that they would let me do that. They proceeded with the exams and everything came back fine. I was given medication to give him and a special diet. They gave me a follow up in one week and called the next day to see how he was doing, that was very nice. Everyone was great they were quick and helpful to my pet. They showed that they cared about his health and also helped me since I couldn't pay it all at one time. I would definitely come back to the pet care clinic.
Best Vet EVER!!!! We have three dogs, 2 females and one male. Vet visits are commons specially when you have small breeds of different ages. Honestly there is no one thing I could ever complain about this hospital. The staff is amazing, their attention top quality and their prices are fair. We were in shock when we were told that the stayed for a small kennel was $18/night while we had actually spent $250 for a plane ticket to take our dog with us on a trip thinking boarding would be too expensive. Dr. Mordaunt is great, he takes his time explaining the issue and answers any concern; and I really mean ANY.... They even follow up the next day to see how our dog was doing and last but no least. Our dog LOVED THE VET... I mean like literally not even shaking... she just let him go back and for like nothing. And in 5 years she had never even let a vet touch her without barking and whining usually we have to hold her and force her to stay still but in here she was happy and given. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO ANYONE AND EVERYONE. You will not be disappointed. Definitively changing Vets forever, my baby is doing great and her diet is working to the perfection.
I took my baby there because he wasn't feeling well and started having seizures (this wasn't the 1st time he's had them). I went to the 1st place I could find, and they saw me, even with no appointment. Dr. Pou was awesome! He diagnosed immediately that my dog had distemper (when the last 2 vets I've been to never did). He was super thorough and basically saved his life. His staff walked me through every step of what to expect with him in the future, and advised me of what medications he was going to need for now and for long term. They explained everything in super detail and the prices seemed average, if not less than places like Knowles or Sabal Chase. I'm sooo happy I found him (and he's cute ladies - but married :( !! Oh!! And the office doesn't even smell like a vet office! It smells really good, and everything was really clean. Which is a HUGE plus since no one likes to sit there and have to smell animals while they wait their turn. I've definitely found Simon's new vet!
After buying Zen Edwards 6 weeks ago my main concern was finding a vet that would treat Zen with respect and show endless compassion towards him . After a horrible experience with the vet the breeder recommended me to, I began to feel skeptical and scared that it would be impossible to find a vet with true empathy and love towards animals. After hours of searching I came across Sabal Chas Animal Clinic. My experiences with Sabal Chase have been nothing short of extraordinarily amazing. Sabal Chase has given us the peace of mind knowing that Zen will always be in good hands. As Zen goes in for his first procedure today, I dropped him off without hesitation and fear; because that’s the type of place Sabal Chase is, a safe, protected and loved facility. I highly recommend Sabal Chase Animal clinic to those who are looking for an extraordinary facility for your extraordinary pet.
My fiancé and I had a big scare we found out that our puppy had contracted a very serious virus. When we noticed the irregularity with her behavior we immediately took her in. The staff and the doctors at TCAH acted swiftly diagnosing her and immediately provided her with medical attention. Our girl was under their care for roughly 5 days. During her stay I was provided with insightful updates on her condition. I can't thank the doctors and the staff enough for without them our little girl would probably not be home today. The Town and Country Animal Hospital provided us with the best and utmost care possible ensuring the safe return of our pup. With their great kindness and outstanding service they made an extremely difficult situation much easier. Thank you Town and Country Animal for the loving care you provided to Daisy and for getting our little one back home to us!
I can't say how much I love Bustillo Animal Hospital. I started going there in 20001, when I found a stray kitten that was sick. I was a college student and didn't have much money. I called around to various vets and they were going to charge me $200 to walk in the door. When I called Bustillo, he answered the phone. When I described the symptoms of the kitten his response was "Get here now, this is an emergency. Don't worry about the money, bring him in now." Over the years, I continued to rescue cats and he worked with me to help take care of them. He even came to my home to help me a few times. I boarded my cats there when I left town and always knew that even if they were in cages, they were safe and being looked after properly. He truly loves animals and I highly recommend him. I would give his 10 stars if I could! Thank you Bustillo Animal Hospital and Staff!
