I frequent this establishment a few times a week, but wont anymore. On 11/6/14 when I went to return my room key & collect the $5 deposit, my partner remained in the room for just a few more minutes(putring makeup on etc). She related to me how the cleaning staff rudely told her: (are you ready for this?) "mamu ya estas pasadita" meaning we were past our 3 hour alloted rental period. Mind you, we CERTAINLY were not. In fact, we had well over an hour left. When I called the manager to relate the completely out-of-place comment from the riff-raff mediocre employee, she tried to "explain" to me that sunce I had turned in the key, she then asked the cleaning crew to redress the room. That's fine. Totally understandable, but the comment from the low-life ? Out of context.

My review is on Iberostar Tucan. I was there April 2015, it was the worst resort I have stayed in! There was animal feces on the walkways, the beach was not only covered in seaweed but litter, the water around the main dining was greenish brown, not very appetizing. We stood in line to speak with the guest service agent only to have her unplug her computer and start to walk away, with us standing there! I was told this was a five star it is a three at best, what am I comparing it to Iberostar Paraiso Del Mar, where I stayed in 2012, as well as several other resorts in the area that I have visited. Oh yes, I do have a picture of the dirt on the back of the bathroom door.
This is the most beautiful hotel I've ever stayed in. It is very clean and well-kept, and the beds are actually comfortable. It is within walking distance from a mall, and they also have a shuttle that can take you to the mall if you don't want to walk. Before my stay at the Marriott, I had taken a couple of shuttles and a taxi and all of the drivers scared me to death. They were way too aggressive, and I was afraid we wouldn't make it to our destination. Both of the shuttle drivers that I had from the Marriott were much better than that. The valet workers would talk to me while I was outside waiting for a shuttle and they were very nice as well.
For a Hilton Airport they do NOT offer a refrigerator or microwave in their rooms. I thought these items were STANDARD amneties for even the SMALLER hotels. The breakfast offered is NO Where near WORTH the $22.00 cost. Being my stay was more than 3 days seems I would've been offered @ least ONE day "FREE" breakfast. Internet photo's did not seem to accomodate the actual hotel. Being a HILTON especially @ the Airport, I was expecting a LOT more.
Great location in downtown Miami and right across from Bayside which is full of restaurants, bars, entertainment and fun. The hotel is modern, staff are very friendly and the restaurant in the lobby is an excellent social hangout. The biggest problem is having a car at this hotel. The cost is outrageous and the valet staff are rude. Two days in a row it's taken 45 minutes to receive my vehicle. If you're driving, don't stay here.
Kane Dental is a warm, comfortable and efficient office. The staff was professional and easy to work with. Because it is a family owned practice, you feel a part of their family and an integral part of their office. Their dentistry skills and experience is clearly obvious. The hygienist was excellent. She was very knowledgable and gave me the best cleaning Iv'e had in years. I would highly recommend Kane Dental.
What a beautiful evening we had working with Kathy Dorfman with the Mandarin Oriental in Miami. She was extremely professional and delivered exactly what her clients were promised. As photographers, we adore taking pictures of food that looks absolutely delicious! We highly recommend Kathy Dorfman at the Mandarin Oriental to cater your event. Looking forward to working with her again in the near future.
This is a good place for business stays. I rented a room for some clients of mine that had to be close to downtown Miami, but also wanted an area with restaurants and without the high price that downtown hotels or beach front hotels charge these days. The Sun and Surf was a exactly what they were looking for. Stayed for 3 nights and really loved it.
Steve Bumpus managed a wedding we just took photos of for Nicole and Shaun this past Saturday. The staff was extremely nice and Steve stayed on top of everything to make sure the bride and groom were pleased. To top things off, the Hotel was beautiful which allowed us to capture amazing photos.
We photographed the wedding of Jordana & Raul this past weekend and we can't recommend enough the hotel as the venue for you next event. Not only is a beautiful hotel and convenient located but the staff is really professional and helpful. We look forward to more events there!
