Nearly killed me. No concern for people's allergies

I told them I was allergic to mushrooms and they bring out the order with mushrooms. I send it back & they come back out 15 mins later with the order. It looked like it had no mushrooms but was drenched in sauce and i always order the same thing and it never comes drenched like that and it didnt taste the same as it usually tastes. I start eating it and 10 minutes later i start feeling itch and my throat feels like its closing. I look into the pasta and discover 3 mushrooms. I ask the manager and he says chef was busy and picked them out for me, im allergic dummy. All they did was take the pasta off the bill and apologize for the chef being busy. It felt like a slap in the face for someone who comes there often enough.

Clueless manager

Recently I was on vacation in Miami. I visited the restaurant at the Coconut Grove location. Upon arrival I was quoted a 20 minute wait by the hostess. 1 hour went by and we were still not seated. I had a party of 5 adults and 1 toddler. I was observing there were a few empty booths that would accommodate all of us. The restaurant did not look too busy as we arrived around 8:30pm on a wednesday night. I asked to speak to a general manager to ask why we could not have been seated in those booths. The manager told me we had been waiting because the staff was overloaded and the waiters needed to catch up.
Having worked in the service industry, I told him his hostess should have quoted a longer waiting time. Communication between staff members is crucial for a business to run smoothly.
As we continued to wait, I observed the hostess seated a party of four that had got in the restaurant 45 minutes after us. I was very hungry and angry at that point. I asked for the manager again and asked him how it was possible they could easily accommodate a party of four, but not a party of six in an empty booth. He proceeded to tell me he could not make his staff serve in a different location of the restaurant !! In other words, was he telling me his staff comfort was more important than me - his customer ?
I was dumbfounded by the lack of management skills of this fellow. He was not courteous at any point of our conversation and did not seem to care if he lost sales to our party of 6 people. It is safe to say this employee was overwhelmed with the issues he had to handle, and he did not seem to care to make a good impression of the restaurant.
This was a big disappointment given we were in one of your prime locations in Florida.

Review from Steve Bennis

My name is Steve Bennis. Everyone knows the Cheesecake Factory by now. But this one beats them all. It's very clean and the service is excellent. Try it and post a review for us. Recommended by Steve Bennis.

Great for desert but $$$

Foods always good and consistant, but don't look for atmosphere, it is what it is, a noisy
grove restaurant. Avoid the Bar! Very Unfriendly....

The Best

I think the cheesecake factory is the most beautiful place to eat that I have ever been to. I think they're are expensive but elegant. Only the middle and upper class should go there. Two words for this place. Great Work!

For some reason it's listed under best cheap eats lol. Don't go expecting to get a meal for $5, but the food is soooooooooooooo good!! I always go to try the cheesecake but the plates are so big and the food so tasty that i always end up too full to eat dessert. Highly recommend it.

Not a cheap eat

Excellent food, but there is no way it's a cheap eat. A cheap is spending $25 for two. You will spend at least 40 - 50 dollars for dinner. They should cut the large portions down and lower the prices.
