Go to Shibui for great food and service!

Let me say that this is THE standard by which I hold all other Asian restaurants to. I have been coming here for over two decades and have AWAYS been delighted. My family and friends feel the same. Service is always attentive and kind. The food is fresh and well prepared. Mark my opinion, because I would be the first one to gripe where appropriate. Shubui is WONDERFUL! My brother-in-law says "impeccable!"

Great dinners with groups!

Not only is the sushi here phenominal but the Hibachi is a true show. The chefs do tricks I havn't seen in any other Hibachi restaurant and give you side sauces that are out of this world!

Don't be late. Don't forget the Lysol - By JungleJay‎

We eat there often. Each time is a little less satisfying. I guess that's why most of the accolades and awards hanging on the walls are from the last millennium. It's like the old Tarus in the Grove. Good food, good company, feels like it hasn't been cleaned since it was built. Reservations suggested but not necessarily honored. Our reservation for 5 two nights ago was written incorrectly by the manager. According to him we were 15 minutes late and unseatable even though the restaurant was completely empty. We offered to leave and never come back. He showed us the door. So from now on we'll spend our money where its appreciated. And we suggest you should do the same.

Amazing Sushi, always consistent

I love Shibui. I suggest everyone try the spicy crab sushi. The appetizers are excellent, the cooked food is very good.
The servers are attentive, and many have been there for years and years.
I have never had to send anything back in all my visits to Shibui, and there is always something different to try because the menu is quite extensive.
The place is a little small, though it is very warm.
This Japanese restaurant is among the best in Miami, and they have won awards recently as you can see in the waiting area in the front of the restaurant.

Shibui, great sushi - very small place

I recently had the chance to have some sushi at a local Japanese restaurant in the Kendall area of Miami and was pleasantly surprised. The interior design is wonderful. Wooden decor and staircases like you would imagine a quant home in Japan might look like, while customers sitting upstairs on a cushion-like seat enjoy their dinner. Food was great the only drawback I would say is how small this place is. You can imagine my surprise when I arrived and found out it's recommended you make reservations. Other than that it was a decent place to have some great sushi and drinks.
