In the past I had a bad experience with my old dentist, I was in desperate need of a new one, because I had a few problems with my mouth. I was very lucky that my friend highly recommended Dr. Ryan Ziegler to me. I was very impressed by the office staff. They were all very informative and friendly. I met Dr. Ryan, and immediatley felt comfortable. He made me feel confident that he would be able to complete my dental treatment and I wouldn't feel any discomfort. He was very gentle and attentive to my needs and I was so happy with the quality of his work that I recommended my family to the office. If you are looking for a great dentist and office, this is the place to go.
I got my teeth cleaned many times by Ana--she is a wonderful Dental Hygienist.
Unfortunately, I had to stop going to the office after getting two teeth filled: Surface anterior seven and surface anterior eight: Dr. Ryan Ziegler filled the teeth. The previous fillings had shrunk—so the fillings were removed and the teeth were refilled. I cannot imagine that the cure was going to be worse than the sickness. Every day, the discomfort makes me think about the teeth.
During the second visit that I went to see Dr. Ryan Ziegler because of the discomfort, I noticed that he gave me an attitude and said that it would take about six month, sometimes, for one to get used to the filling. It has been about eight months: I will be going to another dentist to get this corrected.
I know that the fillings are not right and/or there was a malpractice in the procedure--because of the daily discomfort, which is making me suffer from the anguish of having to think about it every day—literally. Maybe the fillings were not prepared correctly or they were not sterile, as they needed to be. I do not know what is causing the discomfort—I know for certain, that it is not okay—otherwise, I would not have to think about it every day. Even with the previous fillings, I did not have so much discomfort, as I do with the new fillings. With the previous fillings, I knew that they had to be refilled because went I ate, at times I felt that tiny particles of certain foods would get between the teeth—and the x-rays confirmed my feeling about the teeth. With the new fillings, the discomfort is worse—whether I eat food or not the discomfort is felt: It feels as if food is stuck between the teeth. Therefore, I know that something is not correct.
They advertise often: Unfortunately, they forgot that the best advertisement is through word of mouth—people’s recommendations.
My desire resolution: That when I go to another dentist to seek advice and the dentist confirms my feeling that the procedure done is not correct, that I get recompensed for the pain and for the suffering that I am enduring, and for the money that I paid Dr. Ryan Ziegler for the procedure done at his office. I also desire that Dr. Ryan Ziegler would practice more caution.
I bought the LivingSocial deal and arrived for my appt. a half hour early. They actually took me a half hour late, so I waited a full hour. The nurse took bite wing x-rays and then insisted I watch a video on Periodontal Disease (she claimed everyone must watch it). Next, I met with Dr. Ziegler and he throw a hard sales pitch about why they're great and how someone even drives 3 hours for them. He uses a 'we love a personal touch with our clients' approach. Next he barely put the tool to my tooth and in an obviously fake exaggeration, he proceeded to explain how I needed an $1100 cleaning to avoid periodontal disease. Now it made sense why they insist on people watching the video. It's a scare tactic for a predetermined plan to get you to pay the money for the cleaning. To top it off, he twice stressed he was going to waive the $300 fee for the additional x-rays and even winked like some sleazy used car salesman. Avoid this place, find yourself an honest dentist.

The dentists and their work may be good quality, but this office does not care about the patient. Their only concern is money and they focus and pressure people into cosmetic dentistry. I was there for 6 hours, yes SIX HOURS while they tried to coerce me into veneers, whitening, crowns, etc. All I needed was a filling replaced. I walked out of this office totally stressed AND without my tooth repaired. Not for me. Good luck to anyone who visits this racket.
DON'T GO TO THIS PLACE!!!!! They will treat you as a customer (not a patient) whom Dr. Zeigler tries his best to sell his services to, even those that you don't need. Takes you into his office to convince you to do all sorts of work in your mouth, then tries to convince you to start that same day so that you are stuck with him. Prices are over/EXTREMELY OVERPRICED.... ($300 for a regular filling?!!! c'me on ..this place is not located in Bal Harbour or someplace similar.) Prices are ridiculously high. I had a full set of X-Rays done and Dr. Zeigler quoted over $5,000 worth of work needed in my mouth. Luckily, I did not let him convince me and I was able to fight for my X-Rays and took them with me for a second opinion as I could not believe what I had heard. It ended up being that all I needed were 4 cavities filled for just a little bit over $500. Dr. Zeigler wanted to place crowns, do root canals and countless other items that I did not really need.... he is just a desperate salesperson (the more he sells the better), not a doctor.... DO NOT TRUST this dentist!!!! He does not want the best for his patients, he wants their MONEY $$$ --- LOOK FOR A BETTER PLACE WITH ETHICAL STANDARDS IN PLACE. No ethics whatsoever at this place.
I’m very sorry and sad that you feel this way and I will address the issues you have expressed. My concern for all my patients is paramount and that is why I take the time to meet personally with each new patient as I did with you - not in an effort to convince you, but because I like to get to know my patients and believe that a dentist-patient relationship should be one that lasts forever. Call me old school, but we are like family here. Because I care, I took the time to review your x-rays and clinical exam notes again and agree with my original treatment plan. The fact is that there are “many ways to skin a cat”. While your other dentist may have seen it fit to treat you with only the immediate issues, I present my patients with a comprehensive treatment plan and will not have you coming back every few months (other than for your routine cleanings). My experience has shown me that patients want to know EVERYTHING that is going on, and the BEST way to deal with it. While I love to see my patients, I realize that dentists are not the highest on their priority lists. Therefore, patients appreciate me informing them of all of the treatment they require at once. Then they make informed decisions based on the larger picture and can expect no surprises later. I am certain that any dental peer review board would validate the treatment plan that I presented you. I am very conservative with my recommendations and try to prevent major expenses and future dental problems. With regard to our fees, they are generally at or below UCR (usual, customary and reasonable) in our area and this is validated through the thousands of insurance claims we file annually. Many patients ask us to begin their treatment the same day, and knowing how anxious they are, we try to be compassionate, understanding and accommodating. As you witnessed at your visit, we have a busy practice and that is due to the many referrals we receive from our happy patients and the excellent reputation we have worked hard to earn. It is unfortunate that you perceived us differently; however, I wish you luck with your new dentist and nothing but the best moving forward. -- Dr. Jan L. Ziegler
I could go on and on about how terrific Dr Ziegler's office is, but you need to see for yourself. My cousin Elena, who has been their patient for almost 20 years, told me they were the best and they are in EVERY way. They really cared about my feelings. I have had a lot of work done in my mouth since I was a child and I am very nervous just thinking about going to the dentist. Although they have a busy office, they gave me so much personal attention that I felt as though I was their only patient. They fixed several cavities and did cosmetic work that has given me a smile that I dreamed about for years. If you want a dental office that will really make you happy, this is the one for you.
They are the most expensive and worse treatment I ever have, the doctor was talking about the wife shower during the time he was doing my surgery, also they lie about the time when the treatment as going to be done, treating me as a little girl to extend the treatment,
GREAT dentist in West Kendall. The office had the latest equipment and doctors and staff are very knowledgeable, well spoken and well mannered. I am beyond--- totally scared, of the dentist and they were VERY patient with me. They have great hours that vary from morning to evening. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
I hadn't seen a dentist in over three years and was having some discomfort. Dr. Ziegler first saw me in his office (which is more than I can say for my last dentist) and took the time to listen and get to know me. Afterwards, he gave me an exam, and just as I feared, I needed a lot of work. Long story short, his prices were very reasonable, accepted my insurance, and whatever was left over, I conveniently financed. Now, after two and a half weeks, I have a beautiful, but more importantly, HEALTHY smile! Thanks Dr. Ziegler
I highly recommend this office!! Unlike the review I just read, my experience at this office was amazing. A couple of weeks ago I was in a lot of pain, on a Sunday afternoon. After hours of searching for a dentist I finally came across this office. I called the service and within 10 minutes I had one of the doctors calling me. My emergency was treated immediately and I decided to schedule an appointment for a regular check up. The staff as well as Dr. Ziegler were very professional and helpful. I have never visited an office that took the time to explain my dental situation and their prices were reasonable.

This dentist?s actions were very malicious, I strongly warn you not to go to him. He charged my company two different claims for services he never provided. One was for braces for 3,600.00 dollars and another one for 350.00 dollars. When I first walked in the office I knew something was wrong, he first escorted me to his office and asked many personal question, which none had to do with my dental history, then I was escorted to another office, where three people were all around me and arguing between themselves and then he recommended a cleaning that costs 1,500.00 dollars and he urged me to write a personal check, which at the moment I but I asked him that why he was not charging the insurance and he said that they will reimbursement later at the moment I decided to leave as quick as possible. The only positive thing is that they open late, but I suppose this is to rip people off as much as possible.

Let me inform the masses about a great dental office I discovered over the weekend. As any normal person, I avoid the dentist as much as possible. Unfortunately over the weekend I had an annoying pain go from so-so to HORRIBLE. Its always my luck to have pain on a day most dentists are out playing golf. Luckily I was able to find Dr.Zieglers office, which is open on Saturdays, through yahoo. When I called his office, the staff greeted me with kindness and asked me to come in right away. Within 30 minutes after my arrival, his staff seated me; the doctor examined me and explained to me different options of what they could to help me feel better. As much as I hate dentists, there is nothing bad I can or would say about Dr.Zieglers office. I was seen on a Saturday. His staff treated me better than any other doctors office I have been to and I was out of pain that same day. Spreading the word is my way of saying thanks and my way of letting everyone know where to find a great dentist.

I wanted to take this opportunity to inform everyone about a wonderful dentist I had the pleasure of meeting two weeks ago. I have always felt self conscious about my smile. Although, I have gone to different dentists, no other dentist was able to show me the degree of courtesy, kindness, and honesty as Dr.Ziegler. He performed a thorough exam and explained to me different types of treatment his office could do to enhance my smile. Dr.Ziegler and his staff made me feel so comfortable that I commenced treatment right away. I decided to have Lumineers done. It is a new type of veneer that is as thin as a contact lens and so strong they guarantee their work for up to five years. I dont know about you but I havent met another dentist that can guarantee his work. That wasnt even the best part of having this procedure done; the best part is NO SHOTS! I know it sounds too good to be true, but from one regular Joe to another.its true! Two weeks later I have a new smile Im proud of. So if youre in Miami and have no one to ask, take my word for it, Dr.Ziegler and his wonderful staff are unbelievable. From the moment I called, to the moment I left EVERYONE went out of their way to make sure I was happy.
