I have only given one other negative review online in my life, and let me tell you that this place deserves fewer stars than I can even give it. I boarded my 6lb Maltese dog with them over the weekend and in the 24 hours since I have picked her up she has lost 10oz of blood rectally. She has been listless and miserable- and I am at a new vet now. You are not supposed to pick up your pet from a vet and find her with a medical condition! And don't get me started on the cost of procedures here. I also dropped off my other little dog here over the weekend and despite me doing everything in my power to convince them that she was already vaccinated, they said they could see no vaccinations on her record and insisted she be vaccinated anyway. When my husband went to pick her up he was also confused about why she was vaccinated again and they swore that she had no vaccines on record. So he asked to see the record and guess what?! He pointed out the vaccination history in a matter of seconds. Hundreds of dollars down the drain because they can't read the very records that they are trained to read. STAY AWAY! Your pet will arrive well and leave sick!
This clinic doesn't deserve one star but half stars are not optional.
I took my cat on a Sunday at 5pm because she was yelping with pain, cold, disoriented, weak and vomiting. We waited 20 minutes to be able to get a room and although the clinic was empty, we still had to wait another 15-20min to see the actual vet.
The consultation by itself was $110. The bald vet deduced that the cat could have anything and that we should do 2 types of blood test, a fecal test and x-rays (in case she had something lodged in her trachea). After another 15min a tech came with a quote for $900 to over $1000 for the diagnosis ALONE, clearly excluding any actual treatment.
Not to mention that whilst I discussed the prices with my mother, 3 times the tech interrupted us because he needed to know whether he would take samples because his sole concern was the welfare of the patient.
Such a blatant pressure tactic was the last straw. Somehow one HOUR after my cat entered the clinic there was a gargantuan urgency to see what her ailment was, even though the front desk took 20 min to give the cat a room after they were finished with their vapid chit-chat, the vet took another 20 min to decide out of pure whim when he felt like taking a look at the cat and the tech took another 15 min to come up with an estimate of the costs. So clearly, the only one that was in a rush was I, in order to quit asking questions and put out the credit card. Not to mention that it is completely out of place for the tech to insinuate that I care more about money than my pet's welfare, since I rushed out of the house on a Sunday to find the only open clinic in town, at the first sign my 2 year old cat had pain.
I was more than disappointing with the service of this clinic. I spent $110 to get a vet's opinion that the cat could have anything as if that wasn't obvious! Bluntly put, unless the cat miraculously begins to talk and describe its symptoms or an obvious incident such as a car hits it, the initial consultation doesn't really give much insight. More so than anything, I was disappointed with the wait which was nerve-wracking, a waste of time and completely disrespectful since I am coming on a Sunday because I felt my cat needed urgent treatment.
i don't recommend this clinic at all as they are a rip off... unless you are a millionaire and don't care about money.
I have no complain with the vet, my complain is with the manager/administrative personnel. they are not flexible at all and their fee is higher than other clinics. please check other places before going here.
Our dog became grumpy, not letting anyone touching him, my wife asked yesterday 1/1/16) if there was a way to sedate or calm him in order to do a complete grooming, they told her it was and it would cost $56, for the Dr. observation and giving the medication, plus $60.00 for the grooming. Today my wife took our dog, they presented several papers to sign which she did, they took the dog inside, she could hear him barking, they took him to the grooming station and at the end my wife was presented with a $338.50 bill, people that were present the previous day agreed with my daughter that they talked about $56.00 but the staff from the vet office was talking about exams and other things that were never explained to nobody so we ended paying $338.50 for what was supposed to be 56 + 60= $116.00, so we paid almost 3 TIMES MORE. DON’T GO THERE, THERE ARE LOTS OF HONEST VETERINARIES IN MIAMI.
Just like kids animals are just as costly, they saved my dogs life so money is out of the question. Shame on anybody that wrote bad reviews about this place they are fully staffed, open 24 hours, hello!!! Of course its going to be costly. And emergencies are gonna be expensive so don't act dumb and surprised. Thank you Dr. Wenzl and Dr. Silverio for all your hard work, god bless.
I went in at 1am my lil maltase got bit by a dog she was bleeding really bad and counldnt breath right. As I was there they stabilized her then they told me she was going to need surgery. I didn't have half the money so they won't go threw with the surgery till they had half of the money. I called everyone in my family that could help. I was finally able to find some one but the doctor wouldn't go threw with the surgey till they had money in hand and well they let my lil maltese die. The staff there were cold didn't care about my dog. To them it was all business. The doctor could have saved her life but didn't because of money. You should not take your pet here all they care about is money not about your pet.
Good Vet and Walk in Hours My dad's a vet but he lives in upstate NY. I come here when I can't get up to see him for free, and the walk-in hours with no fee are awesome. Aside from that, the vet and every other person I've seen here was really competent and friendly. I always call my dad for a second opinion over the phone, and he hasn't disagreed with her prognosis yet. Price isn't bad either.
Excellent care for my miniature dachshund when he got sick last year. After getting our new lab puppy, I am bringing him here as well. Great people to work with as well as the most affordable around. They also don't try to convince you to purchase unnecessary products or care.
This place is really wonderful. My mom and I took our 16 year old lab in for her final appointment and they handled the situation with the utmost care. The doctor was professional and thoughtful throughout the entire process and they made us feel very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this clinic to anyone!
