What a Rip Off! Bad Dog! Bad, Bad Dog!

What do you get when you combine a tasteless bun; a cheap, greasy, fatty hot dog; plastic-like cheese and several other low-grade, questionable ingredients? A Dogma Dog! I've had better hot dogs at the elementary school cafeteria. If want to keep down your lunch, try some other place!

Best Hot Dog in Miami

This is probably the best hot dog joint in town. A quality, all-beef National Deli frankfurter, browned on an iron grill-top, is served on a poppy-seed Vienna Beef bun. I like my hot dogs with a good grill mark on them; no problems when I asked for well-done.

The fries are not perfect - they are not hand cut from fresh potatoes, but they are double-fried the right way, so that surface crispness contrasts with a creamy potato interior. Although slightly pricey, the onion rings were very good. The crispy golden exterior hides a real, juicy, whole-onion interior.

The only thing I am not fond of is the chili sauce. This is not chili, like you would get in a diner, but the hot dog condiment popular in some parts of the country, also known as ""Texas sauce"", or ""Coney sauce"". Some folks prefer it, just not me. I cannot recommend it, but you may like it.

The core of their menu is grilled hot dogs and grilled chicken breasts. They have a lot of fresh ingredients to put on the hot dogs, and they will combine them with lettuce to make salads, or stick them in a tortilla to make a ""wrap"". A turkey dog or a veggie dog can be substituted. Although the menu claims that ""all toppings and sauces are prepared on the premises using only the freshest ingredients"", I saw cans of Sabrett Onion Sauce through a window (which is not a bad thing - Sabrett is top-notch). I'm sure they do not make their sauerkraut!

The hot dog menu lists 15 named combinations, and a corn dog. A basic 'dog with choice of mustard, ketchup, relish and chopped onions is $3.15. The top-of-the-line Burrito Dog has two 'dogs, chili, grilled bacon, yellow mustard chopped onions, sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, wrapped in a flour tortilla, and grilled, for $5.95. The fries were $2.60, and the onion rings were $2.95. A fountain soda, with free refills, is $1.90. Beers are $3.50. A dog + side + beverage combo gets a $0.75 discount.

A basic lunch of a dog, fries and a soda comes to $6.90.

This Vegetarian's Oasis

It's nice to have a veggie dog while dining with my carnivorous family + friends. Yummmm, my menu favorites are the Cali (senza bacon), Home-style Potato Chips and Fresh Mint Lemonade. Have also used Dogma as a caterer, food is hot, and well presented, staff are professional and fun.

For someone who does not like fast food, this is the place

I'm not a fast food type person and nonetheless I loved the fries, the bbq chicken wraps, and the dogs are a surprise to anybody like me who does not like them - these ARE good!!!!
Can't miss it!!
Enjoy it

Dogma is hands down the best hot dog place I have come across

Being from Chicago, I have a true affinity and appreciation for hot dogs. A good friend recommended that I visit Dogma last week when I was in Miami. I can honestly say that Dogma is hands down the best hot dog joint I have ever visited. They have completely reinvented the hot dog experience -- both the food and the atmosphere are completely refreshing. It's menu is not only creative, but absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend everyone visit Dogma while in Miami. I hope their concept comes to Chicago.

Fantastic, Fast Comfort Food with Pizzaz

As an original New Yorker and Yankees fan, I've eaten a lot of dogs in ballparks and other venues all over the country. I happened upon this little gem of a restaurant about 2 years ago after hearing raves from all my buddies and they were on the on the money. Late night or lunchtime or anytime the place is open you can have one of the tastiest hot dogs in the country. The cool North Miami staff serves them up lickety-split and you can tell this place rocks because you got locals mixing with touristas. Awesome dogs, and a great outdoor atmosphere. I make it a point to eat at least one meal here every time I'm in Miami. In fact I'm craving their chili dog right now. 5+ stars.

Do yourself a favor and go to Dogma!

I have to say that Dogma is one of my favorite places for a quick meal. I have been to all 3 locations and the service and food is always consistent and delicious. I love gourmet comfort food and Dogma has it down....I love the Cali and the mint lemonade is out of this world!
This place has something for everyone.....a regular guy who just wants a beef hot dog, a health conscious person can order a turkey dog and for the vegetarians out there, they also offer veggie dogs!

Hot Dogs

OVERPRICED WARM HOT DOGS!!! Funny thing is they looked overcooked. And this staff is either lazy or they are rude.I dunno. I just came from a testing at another restaraunt on Collins and 65th Street called Muncheez... They had a funky hot dog they wanna put out.. It's deep fried with some crazy mustard relish.. I though it was gonna be gross but let me tell you. Don't let your eyes fool ya. This was the best tasting thing (it was crazy lookin) I ever had.. These guys are from somewhere up North of the states cause that menu they got was just to good to be true.. I can't wait till they open.Kiss the South Beach Diet goodbye!

Best place to Chill and Eat anyday

I'm a regular customer here and I'm surprised at the ratings. I've always been satisfied with the fresh food and prompt service. If you're looking for a tasty dog i recommend the Cali. Dogma Grill is definitely one of the best places to grab a meal on biscayne and chill. I'd give it 10 stars if i could, and the customer service is always excellent. I tell many friends about Dogma and i've never heard any negative comments. The food is delicious and the music is nice.

Needs Improvement

I love hot dogs. The dogs here were just o.k.. They have a good variety of toppings but they do not make up for the medeocre hot dogs.
If anything , I really enjoyed the homemade potato chips.
If you have been drinking and you are really hungry, I would say go ahead go there.
If you are looking for good hot dogs, find a local mall foodcourt that has a Nathans.

Trendy but tasteless

Great selection on the menu but this place is a better concept than reality. The service is terrible, the hot dogs tasteless, and the other day I got a pastrami burrito that featured cold chili... and paid for it all night on the toilet. This place should be avoided at all costs.

Terrible...stay away

Blaaah. That is all I have to say about this place. We visited on a midwinter vacation. Miami was great, but this was the worst hot dog place I have ever been. The hot dogs were way over cooked and the employees were rude. I even talked to the manager who was equally rude. I love hot dogs and love going to local hot dog joints everywhere I go. This may be the worst one I've visited so far. Don't waste your time or money on this place.

Best ""Cold-not cooked"" dogs and ""Old"" fires - Big Dissapointment..

I visted DogMa on Thursday Dec. 28, at 1400L..At first, the person behind the counter was off talking with other employees and not paying attention to the order window..And when She approached she did not have any greeting and gave the impression to me of what are you doing here..I ordered 2-Chicago Dogs and 1-order of fries..She did not even give me a reciept for my order..The place was busy, but not packed with customers..I had visited twice before with mixed results(Under cooked dogs and warm fries)..This time was the worse experience..My order took about 10-15 minutes..When I got it, the guy handing me my order did not say any type of thank you greeting at all..So I rate the Customer Service as Poor - Below Average..

So I left to go home to eat my lunch..I live less than 1-mile away in Belle Meade of the Upper East Side of Miami..It takes less than 2-minutes to get home..When I sat down to eat and opened the bags..

....A VERY BIG dissapointment...

First - Both dogs were barely warm..And the centers were ice COLD..It appeared they just took them out of the refrig and cooked them a few seconds before slapping them in bunns for my order..

Second - Fries were not even warm much less hot and they tasted allfull..They were cold and lifeless..It appeared they were the leftover ""Old"" fires of the bottom of the frie binn..

I had to throw out the dogs and fries..I called the Dogma Grill to complain..When I asked to speak to the manager, the young guy answering the telephone indicated he was..(I doubt that)..I explained what had happened..He didn't appolize and asked that I come back..I told him No..

Roy of Miami..

Dogma is Amazing!

This place is incredible - a 10+++!! There is a reason they have been coined as the CPK of hot dogs - unique, creative and delicious toppings, a wonderful name and theme, friendly staff and amazing garlic fries...the mint lemonade is also a must have. If you're in the mood for a delicious and inexpensive meal, this is your place. The new location on Washington is fantastic too, indoor seating, great music and a fun vibe.

Dogma is awesome!

My friends and I are absolutely devoted to dogma...we love the variety, from a hot dog burrito to a veggie corn dog...the cheese fries are delish too! The staff is also really, really nice, and they just opened a new location on the beach (washington & 15th). WE LOVE DOGMA!

Wow, this was truly disappointing

After eating here, you'll look think those 10 day old, shrivelled hot dogs at the gas station are a delicacy. I coulnd't finish mine and asked the clueless staff for a refund (they were very rude by the way). Save your money and go to 7 Eleven for a real gourmet hot dog compared to this place. Yuucckkka!
