We went tonight, and were offended by the service and the quality of the food.

-Non English Speaking
No one on the staff spoke English well enough to get our order right. I understand that Miami is a bi-cultural city, but your employees should be able to cater to any and all of your clients!

-Rude Staff
If the culture barrier weren't enough, they were very rude, and acted like they didn't have the time of day for us, because we were new to the restaurant and only spoke English ourselves. They were impatient, rushed us while we tried to order, and didn't make any effort to service their customers as if we were inconveniencing them by going to their restaurant.

-Cash Only
Casola's only takes cash. If you don't have cash, they just cancel your order and look at you. Granted, there is an ATM on the premises, but a full-fledged restaurant only taking cash is very very shady, like they're trying to rip you off and dodge the IRS.

-Poor Quality Ingredients
If they didn't seem shady enough already, I don't think they spent any more than they absolutely have to slap together what was on the menu. The salad was shredded lettuce thrown on a paper plate with sandwich slice of tomato and a bunch of pickles. It looks like they had this stuff in the kitchen to make sandwiches already, and decided to try to make an extra buck.
The wing sauces (for which they charge extra!) were very plainly out of a Kraft bottle. Finally, their pizza is some of the worst pizza I have ever eaten in my entire life, and I'm a starving college student. I have never seen anything greasier, save staring into the depths of a full deep-fat fryer. Pepperoni had no flavor and was practically translucent. The dominant taste was of the plastic-like cheese, which had a dark tinge of what I'd normally attribute to having gone bad but was in this case due to its extraordinarily poor quality. I could not finish it, let alone take more than two bites. We packed it up and gave it to a hungry homeless man. I kid you not.

-Caveat Emptor
If you decide to brave the horrors of Casola's, keep two things in mind: Firstly, one chicken wing, in their terms, is the entire wing, made up of what would typically be two normal-sized wings anywhere else. If you order 6 Casola's wings, you get 12 normal wings. 12, 24. Secondly, the size of the slices is truly cyclopean, and what you may see being served on one plate (though it is cut in two) is actually one massive slice's worth.

Casola's was a laughably bad restaurant experience that makes eating from the dingiest road-side stand feel like a four star restaurant. From a cold, impenetrable personal interface, to shady pecuniary transactions, to greasy, unpalatable food, Casola's isn't fit to stand on the ground it occupies.

The pizza is really good, you ...

The pizza is really good, you have a lot of options and all of them are really good and the prices are reasonable

This place is not what it was 3 years ago, when the original owner , that passed away was there. The quality and quantity has gone , the manager , is rude and has no clue what he is talking about. This was my favorite place for many years, since I was a kid. I grew up right around the shop, would go there all the time. But since the owner passed away it has just gone down the drain. I ordered pizza and subs with a group of friends , the pizza was burnt , when I asked for a new one they gave me a face as if I were crazy. When I got my new pizza it was just as bad so I just threw it away. The subs were cold and tasteless. 5 years ago I would have recommended this place , but don't even bother going, it's not worth the drive.

Suc#*! Will never be the same!!!!

I just went to Casola's...I've been going there since it opened...almost 30 years of their first customers...although the quality has been slipping for many years now i have always beena a loyal customer...I have known both owners...the late Ramon and Agustine...since Casola's openened in Miami...both were very loyal and good to me....knowing that I was always a loyal customer and always refered MANY customers to them...but just tonight...I went to Casola's and ordered 2 slices of pizza...I asked for a cup of water...I was given a cup and my pizza...I looked for water everwhere (it use to be with the sodas) and couldn't find I poured some soda...maybe 2 ozs. into my miniature cup...only to have a security guard...some punk making minimum wage...tell me I asked for water...not soda...this is INSANE! I told the punk that I knew the owner and that I had been going there since it opened...only to have some big headed midget tell me HE was now the owner...and i basically needed to was ALL I could do to restrain myself from beating both the security and ""owner's"" as# all over the I ask that you PLEASE boycott Casolas...they needs to be taught a the food is slipping...BIG TIME!!!

Tasteless Pizza!

Yuck! Pizza may have been big, but it's big and bland. I've had better. Even Dominoe's or Pizza Huts is better than theirs. They need to add some real seasoning to their sauce. What a mistake!

Literally Addicting

This is my first review...ever. I'm not a review writer as a general rule. I usually save my opinion for people who ask for it. Unless of course it's a call of duty...such as today.

It is my duty to tell you that Casola's is awesome. I've had pizza all over the Naples, even, where pizza was invented. Casola's is by far my favorite. I live in California and only come to Miami to visit in-laws. Casola's is my only upside. It's a dump...that's true but I don't go there for ambience. I go there for pizza: It's thin and perfectly crispy and the sauce is both salty AND sweet. It's genius. Don't be a heretic and get toppings...cheese is the ONLY way to go...if you want toppings, get the Calzone. I hear those are great too.

This pizza is so good, in fact, that I actually had them freeze two large pies and ship them from Miami to California. (true story) because I am so addicted and because they are so delicious!

If you are a real pizza owe it to yourself to at least give Casola's a try. Despite the fact that the first slice is not me, there's a good chance you'll get addicted!

You usually can't go wrong with pizza and subs, but Casola's fails miserably

I have no idea why so many people have told me how good this place is. It's a total dump. The pizza slices are large and cheap, but you get what you pay for. If you want quality pizza for just $1.50 more per slice, go down the street to Coconut grove and try Cazzolli's. They are THE original pizza joint serving huge delicious slices of pizza. Given you'll pay for $4-$5 per slice, but again, you get what you pay for!

I also had a sub sandwich that was AWEFUL. Limited number of toppings are piled on in a sloppy fashion. Deli meats are also of poor quality. Your better off going to the Quizno's across the street.

EXCELLENT service and quality!!!!

I've been going to casola's for the last 20 yrs. It has never changed the quality and the great service. Would recommend to stop and get a sub...any, they are all awesome. And the pizza is really good too.

For those who prefer Quantity over Quality

If you are not a picky eater and love cheap food, this place is for you! A slice is enormous and costs around 3 dollars. This place is for the average Joe and those below. For those who prefer quality food no matter what the condition, DONT GO TO CASOLA'S!! I don't like Casola's pizza, because the sauce is average, the dough is rubbery and the cheese tastes old. Not great.

I did not see any mention to the Casolas Tiramesu in the reviews here. They make THE BEST one all over the world. I've ate at several fantastic italian restaurantsall over the US and in high end cruises but I am still to find one that would beat their Tiramesu.

Terrible Pizza

Huge slices that taste like rubber. Worst pizza ever. How this made this list is obvious - Casola's people voted.... a lot! I avoid the chains but in the case of Casolas would rather eat Mickie D's. People who rate this high don't know pizza from a pothole cover.

The pizza is G-R-E-A-T!
Great food for the price. Great deserts.
Refurbished inside. Plenty of sitting room (sometimes too noisy though)...

Pizza isn't the best, but its good for the money. They also have burgers and fries & pastas.
I'd stick with the pizza & burgers; the more simple the better. for about $4 you get a slice thats as big as 2 slices. and they have free samples of cheese slices at the counter.
