I am a retired disabled veteran. This company is a total rip off and disgrace and the VA .... should cancel their contract immediately.In the last 12 months, I had to return 2 pair of glasses and they refuse to refund my $ 175. I returned the glasses to them and told them I cannot see properly from their lenses everything is blurry. MAJ told me " too bad" , there was nothing they could do. They told me they would not return my Visa Charge of $ 175. and to call Visa and fight with them. Now six months later I have no perscription glasses and MAJ Optical is stealing my $ 175. Something needs to be done about this company, there are ripping of veterans all the time. If Visa doesn't take this charge off my account, I will file charges against company and expose them.
This company is screwing Veterans with dirt cheap frames and TERRIBLE service. Almost 10 weeks to get my glasses after complaining 4 weeks prior! When they arrived, one of the lens' was popped out of the frame. I brought them back to the store and they took them to be repaired. A week later, I get them back and guess what? The other lens was popped out with a shim in the case. The VA needs to not renew their contract with the garbage that they are giving us. I was dealing with their store in Fort Lauderdale but they send out to their lab in Miami.
They have friendly and fast service!!! Everyone was great!! The prices and options are fabulous! I recommend Americas Best to everyone!!!
Nice and comfortable place to visit..
I first found out about this place through the commercials advertising their free eye exam and great deals. I hop around for the best deal and I thought this would be a good place to try; sadly I was mistaken. My eyesight is pretty bad so I know I have to pay extra for glasses but when I asked about the deal, the contact lens technician gave me a face and with an attitude said I would not be able to get that deal. I took my prescription and left. The whole week they kept calling me because they forgot to charge me for an extra part of my examination. Then I go in this morning for my contact Lens exam followup 10 minutes late, expecting I'll have to wait anyway (like a walk in) but instead they told me since I was late and there were 4 people waiting for the doctor they wouldn't be able to see me (the store was open for 5 more hours). I asked if I could just get my prescription so I didn't have to go back but I was told no because I wasn't ordering my contacts through them. I then asked since I'd have to come back next week, I needed the contact box and solution which they neglected to give me the previous week, the same contacts technician gives me the solution. I said thank you and she kept silent. The whole staff is not bad but I would avoid dealing with the contacts technician as much as possible. That's the last time I'm ever stepping into that store.
