Great school, brand new, and teaches computers from a young age. Education is emphasized so it is not a typical babysitting environment.

This place is amazing, I've never seen such a great facility for a preschool. It's not in a shopping center, like many others. It is very safe, the center and teachers are all accredited too, despite what the other review said, because I personally asked to see the credentials. And they cook for the children there everyday, so the food is included in the tuition and is always fresh. My wife and I are very happy
Wonderful daycare with wonderful teachers and staff! The Apple Learning Center in Smyrna is so clean and organized. Everyone there is super helpful.
I love love love love this school!! I would recommend it to everyone! I love to hear my son "Wake up let go to school Mom"I AM EXTREMELY HAPPY!!
it doesn't cease to amaze me the low quality child care New World Academy demonstrates. I am a young mother and work full time, as does my husband. So many instances has this Child care center been out of line and completely inconsiderate. During the first few days I left my son 9-6 which are the hours I work. When I arrived at the center to take my son home they threatened me by saying they were going to call child protective services because I left my son for 12 hours (9-6) which is what I pay for. As a mother of a 1 year old, leaving my son isn't a luxury and it doesn't bring me great pleasure. It is a necessity. A 9 hour shift is a regular full time working shift for any workers out there. Another instance my son was still napping, since we wake up early to get ready, and I asked where I could lay him down and they said " well it isn't nap time!" and they woke him up. I'm not sure if it isn't common sense but when people are woken up abruptly it isn't a nice feeling. So anyone with common knowledge would know that waking a baby up this way is not going to be a pretty thing. Of course, he cried and then they continued to call me all morning to complain that he was crying. My baby is already 1 year old and I can happily admit that he hardly cries, he's always happy and gets along with everyone. Another time I arrived to pick him up and asked how he ate and if his diaper had been changed, and they told me " oh well i don't know you're going to have to ask tomorrow." So basically I'm leaving my son thinking he is in capable hands, and they can't tell me if he was fed, if his diaper was changed, or if he was taken care of. I don't recommend this day care to anyone. It is the first time this happens to me. As a relatively new mom, it isn't easy to go through things like these with your baby. So I wouldn't want anyone else to experience this. My baby is always the one that everyone is amazed because of how calm and fun loving he is.
My friend sends his daughter here, his daughter seems to love it, ours will be starting shortly. Took a tour of the place, very clean, organized. Backyard full of toys, the kids get to go outside twice a day. Bathrooms had cute little signs to remind the children to wash their hands and flush the toilet. Staff were very friendly, all wore smiles - A breath of fresh air for Miami!
I had my son at New World Academy for 4 years. Marilyn and her staff are very caring and became a part of my family. I visited 8 different daycares prior to enrolling my son at New World Academy. He even attended another daycare for 2 months. None were as involved, organized, and caring. This is the a great learning environment for your child and I would recommend to anyone.
Let me start by saying that the teacher and teacher's assistant in the infants' class are absolutely amazing (true angels in disguise). This review is in no way a reflection on them. My 18 month old son had been attending New World Academy since January of this year, and everything was great until I decided to take a two week vacation this summer. Upon my return, I was handed a paper stating that I owed tuition for the two weeks that my son was out. When I tried to speak to the owner, Marilyn, about the document I was just handed, she insisted that the handbook states that the children are only allowed one week vacation/sick leave per year and since my son had been out in the beginning of June with Croup, that was his one allowed week. I pleaded with her and told her that I had hospital notes from his June absence, and that I am a single mom and could not pay her for two weeks that my son was not there but I would be willing to pay her for one week. Her response was, "You are a single parent by choice. I have to pay rent and pay for food. It is not my fault that you decided to take vacation." In addition, within the same conversation (as if the single parent comment was not low enough), she tried to tell me that my son was going to need a speech therapist soon because he was not yet putting two words together. Excuse me?? Are you a qualified expert to be handing out such assessments?? My son, btw, has a vocabulary of over 12 words which include "banana" "sticker" "duck" and "eye". I think he's doing okay for his age. In all honesty, I have never dealt with a more impolite and crude individual in my life. My son may not need speech therapy but Marilyn sure has heck needs etiquette classes on how to treat her paying customers, or better yet, how to treat a fellow human being.P.S. Found a daycare down the street from NWA that allows two weeks vacation per year and excuses absences when there's a doctor's note!
