Renters beware! If you rent from this company their MO is to keep your security deposit when you have caused ZERO damage. When you call them to try to get it back, they will tell you that you need to speak with Dominque B. who is always "out of the office". They claim to leave messages for him, but he NEVER returns phone calls or emails. The office staff may even try to intimidate you by sending you an unprofessional email and taking jabs at your character. The email states that many fools have tried to take them to court but never win. What a joke this company is and the people who answer the phones in the office! I am a multiple property owner and landlord myself and would NEVER treat an ex tenant this way.

This is reprehensible. I cannot believe an honest and legitimate business would treat their former tenants this way. In my opinion, it is very dishonest when a business does not return a security deposit without just cause. The fact that they refused to return calls or answer questions makes me question their integrity, and in business, nothing is more important than integrity. If there is ever a valid reason to keep all or part of a security deposit, then VERY specific reasons should be given, and the amount of money kept for each and every problem should be documented in writing. It sounds like nothing even close to this happened in this case. I would certainly be considering notifying the Better Business Bureau. In addition, I would to let local realtors who might be helping clients find apartments to rent in this area that this is NOT a company you want to do business with. The only way for Blue Leaf Management to rectify this situation is to refund the deserved security deposit at once or explain IN WRITING specifically why that is not being done.
This company is an unethical and a complete scam, especially for an unsuspecting tenant. My 28 year old son has been trying for weeks to get information about the return of his security deposit. He was a responsible tenant and did ZERO damage to the property. He and I have both called NUMEROUS times only to be told by the office manager Sheila that we need to speak with Dominique Bailleul. Dominique is always "out of the office" according to Sheila and NEVER returns our phone calls or emails. We finally reached this Dominique on his cell phone after we googled his number on the internet. He played dumb, talked in circles, and completely avoided the topic of returning my son's deposit. As a Realtor myself, I am telling you that this individual/company is seedy and dishonest. BEWARE! Do NOT ever rent from anyone who is related to Blue Leaf. So far, I'm not that impressed with this management company. They're relatively new to our condo building so I don't feel any negative or positive comments are warranted yet. However, time will tell.
Horrible service, staff that cheats and lies. Horrible experience with Royal. The good reviews you see are fake accounts written by Royal themselfs to compensate for the horrible reputation they have. Keep doing your research to find out more.
