Just O.K. Nothing special Positive: sauteed foie gras very good. Tuna, not so good. I love tuna, but this was tough and chewy (waiter said chewiness was due to it being marinated in cachaca (Brazilian sugar cane alcohol) ). Suspect they get a lot of tourists who are impressed by ambience and don't expect much. I'm a South Beach local who is used to NY, Tokyo and Paris, so maybe I'm jaded. $212 for two w/o wine (just two glasses of champagne). No value.

I was looking for a romantic restaurant in Miami. I looked up soooo many restaurant reviews and finally decided to go to Wish. The quality of food was excellent. the chef knows how to cook! It was a great experience. I didn't know that pork can be tasted so fantastic like that..and also many other dishes..etc. It is pricy, but was worth it. Almost 200 for two ppl, including tip, a bottle of wine and shared app and dessert. I was very very full at the end. Also very good lighting. you will look pretty if you are here for a date :)

I travel to Miami about once a year and enjoy eating my way through South Beach each time. I've had some amazing meals - among my favorites would be Nobu, Escopazzo and Sushi Samba. However, I've never had an entire dining experience like I had at Wish.
The menu was interesting and the food was excellent. I have particular challenges as I have some pretty significant dietary restrictions. The chef obviously didn't have the typical top chef ego - and was willing to work with us on every meny item we inquired about (took out ingredients I didn't like or couldn't eat, and the food was still delicious). I've had experiences where I've been told that the food would ""Suffer"" if the dish was altered -- but obviously - based on this experience - if the chef is talented and willing to work with you - it doesn't have to suffer.
I wouldn't be writing this review if it was simply the basics (yes, food came on time, waitress was friendly). But, the waitress was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the entire menu. She was able to decribe each dish in a way that made your mouth water. Additionally, I made her aware of my dietary restrictions, and for every dish, she made sure to assure me that all of my restrictions were taken care of. And the cherry on top -- she made sure to tell us, when she brought the check, that gratuity was included. I've never experienced this -- Generally I feel that the wait staff hopes you don't notice and leave extra. Needless to say, I left extra tip anyway.
While I always appreaciate a nice ambience, I've never appreciated it like this. You sit in an unbelievable beautiful garden with gurgling fountains and beautiful lighting. Our table was excellent -- private but with a nice view of the restaurant. It didn't look to me like there was any bad table in the entire restaurant.
Overall - if you go to one retaurant in Miami - go to Wish!

i definitely enjoyed this cute place during my recent stay in south beach. the hostesses were friendly, the servers were friendly and quick and ready to help with food suggestions. i had the seared scallops with risotto. individually, the scallops was a bit salty and risotto a little bit too sweet (it tasted like it had cinnamon). but together, WOW! it was excellent. my friend loved the pork osso bucco and tamales. we started off with the foie gras, which i thought was okay. if i am back in town, i would definitely go back.

The reviews previously submitted on this site are dead-on. This place is the best. I could go on for all 2000 allotted words, but won't because I would waste the time you should be spending making a reservation. Also, when you are finished with dinner, make your way up to the roof-top bar for a nightcap. That's the topper to a great evening!

WOW! That is all I have to say about WISH. It was absolutely amazing. Let me start by saying that I chose wish because it was the only restaurant on here that had many glowing reviews. not a single bad review. That immediately boosted my confidence in the place. I'm now proud to post another glowing review.
I have to confess I am a picky eater and at first found myself not liking at least one ingredient in many of the dishes offered but I was put at ease by the friendly waiter who assured me that everything on the menu is spectacular. I ordered the Ahi Tuna tartare for starters and the Snapper entree. Both amazing. The best food I've ever had in my life anywhere in the world. Miami Beach is so lucky to have this place! I said ""OMG"" after every bite I swear. My partner was just as satisfied with his food as well. he had the extravagant tomato soup followed by the Oxtail entree. Both were amazing. I knew right then that no matter what I chose off the menu, it would have been wonderful.
The atmosphere was PERFECT. Truly spectacular. They've created a dining experience that you will never forget. Everything from the waiter's blue ombre shirts to the chair pads to the tile on in the cascading fountain. It all worked together in harmony. The ambiance was perfect and unforgettable.
The waitstaff and other staff members are very friendly, and great at their jobs. Very knowledgeable. They were attentive without being overattentive. Our needs were met and we still got to have uninterrupted conversation. perfect.
The prices weren't as bad as I was planning on. The dishes were well worth the 30-36 dollars. I've paid 60 dollars for an entree at other fine restaurants that were far inferior to those served at wish. My partner and I both had a starter, an entree, 2 glasses of wine each, and split a dessert and it was 180, totally acceptable and I would do it once a week if I lived there! I cannot wait to return to wish on my next trip to SOBE!

Amazing.. after eating at Nobu the previous night.. ""Wish"" was simply breath taking.
My husband and I love to eat. The menu has a great simplicity with a speical touch.
We would def going back to miami just to eat at Wish. Our meal/service was excellent.
We started off with a tuna tartara & blue crab salad. Then finished off with the pork tenderlion
and ox tail . It was incrediable. That was the BEST meal I have had. Second best would be the
canadian bacon at Peter Ludgers in NYC.

This restaurant commands an attention to detail unlike few I have ever seen before. The culinary creations delivered to the tables are absolutely magnificent in every way, shape, and form. It is understood why for almost any special event or occasion, making a reservation several weeks in advance is so crucial. The demand for everything that this restaurant has to offer is very real. The amazing combination of ambiance, location, service, and of course food, is truly one to be experienced. Like at many South Beach venues, potent price tags deliver the knockout punch after every meal leaving most with a bad taste in their mouth. However at Wish, it is worth to save up that little extra for that little extra. The privileged ones who dine here may enjoy what truly makes life grand in this spectacular haven of a restaurant where wishes come true. L.A

On Valentines Day this was the place to be! They had the regular menu which ranges from $20-$50 but they also had a special V-day meal called the Prix-Fix which is a 7 course meal! Dont worry you will eat it all!! Each course they bring you is meant to be shared with your special someone, which adds to the romance! The main course was a 16 oz filet mignon surrounded by a 2lb. lobster split in 2 and covered with melted butter! The whole experience was worth the price tag of $300 with tip already included! But believe you me Wish is an experience all it's own and it will be well worth the while! It made our Valentines Day simply unforgettable and I am sure it can do the same for you! Make reservations more 2 weeks in advance for special occasions.
