Racism people

This club was said to be hot so my friends and I decided to go when we were vacationing. My friends and I are women of color and go all dressed to impress in hopes of having a great girls night out. We waited in line for almost an hour and watched as the nasty doorman kept letting in the ""bulimic white girls"" ( and yes, we are skinnt too) and consistantly kept ignoring my friends and I. After a few nice gentlemen told us that you have to have girls in order to get in, we decided to pair up with them. Even then, the doorman wouldnt let us in, but did let in the frumpy little white men. I was seriously hurt by this event and ended up having an awful night of discrimination. I will let everyone I know about this club and their refusal to add a bit of color to the crowd. Thanks Racist Miami!!!!!

Mokai on Mondays

Had a great time there last Monday. Music was a great mix of house, rock, and top 40...TRUE open format at it's best. Arrived with 3 other girlfriends and had no problem getting in, although I saw a group of guys struggling a little. Bring girls! Atmosphere was awesome and light show was like no other. Even had a guy hanging upside down from the rafters and people were cheering him on. All in all...amazing night...would definitely recommend!!

Are you kidding me?????

I was at a loss of words when I just read the other comment that there is not good dancing, its a place to talk to your friends, and it was empty. Sweetie, everything depends on the night you go. Tuesday night, biggest party in MIAMI

Newest club in town (as of my review right now)

The cab driver said this opened around Sept 2006? And there's a lot of buzz about it because of again, the very strict doorman. Very difficult for males to get in, especially if you're not trendy or cute enough. To some extent the doorman tries to make some people wait outside forever so as to create an illusion of the club's popularity. My friend and I got in (both girls) easily on a relatively quiet night, and the place was more like a bar and lounge than it is a club because it was pretty small and there were no dancefloors. Many beautiful people inside, no doubt, but don't expect yourself to be dancing away very much...it's probably more of a friends get together mingling type of scene.
