Management is clueless and does not communicate amongst one another. It is super expensive, small portions and ridiculous wine prices. Attitudes are terrible and they dont care if they ruin a party/event of yours, no matter how important. Complete waste of time and effort. Many better choices in Miami than Casa Tua!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I GAVE THIS PLACE ONE STAR BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T COME IN HALVES. I WAS MEETING A FRIEND FOR DINNER AT CASA TUA. I ARRIVED A BIT EARLY BECAUSE WE HAVE RESERVATIONS AND I HAVE HEARD THAT THEY CANCEL YOUR RESERVATION IF YOU ARE NOT A A-LISTER, ANYWAY I DECIDED I WAS GOING TO HAVE A DRINK AT THE BAR WHEN A SHORT STOCKY MIDDLE AGE MAN WITH A SCARF AROUND HIS NECK A A LONG SLEEVE SHIRT APPROACHED ME AND STARTED CHATTING WITH ME, ASKED ME A WHOLE LOT OF QUESTIONS AND BOUGHT ME 2 MARTINIS. AFTER REALIZING MY FRIEND WAS NOT GOING TO SHOW UP ON TIME THIS PLEASANT MAN ASKED ME IF WOULD ALLOW HIM TO PERSONALLY GIVE ME A TOUR OF THE HOTEL, I SAID YES, OF COURSE THE PLACE IS INDEED BEAUTIFUL, I THOUGHT WHAT DO I HAVE TO LOOSE, FEELING KIND OF TIPSY AND LUCKY AT THE SAME TIME I AGREED TO GO UPSTAIRS. HE OPENED ONE OF THE SO CALLED (VIP) ROOM HE PRESEDED TO LEAN FOWARD AND KISS ME, AT THIS TIME I WAS SHOCKED! BUT DID NOT WANT TO CAUSE A COMMOTION, HE TOLD ME I COULD SPEND THE NIGHT THERE WITH HIM, I CALMLY SAID I NEEDED TO GO TO MY CAR TO GET SOME THINGS, I ALSO SAID I HAD TO GO DOWNSTAIRS TO CALL MY FRIEND TO CANCEL DINNER PLANS, HE SAID FINE, I LEFT AND NEVER CAME BACK.

I have traveled all over the world and by far Casa Tua is the best restaurant and hotel!! We walked in were greeted by this Italian man who made us feel as special as ever. Then, from the server to the sommelier… TOP NOTCH SERVICE!! After our amazing meal (the burrata, zuchinni flower, beef terderloin and veal) we were taken for a tour of the 5 suite hotel. Let’s just say that I traveled again the following month and booked my room reservation at Casa Tua…
All and All the best experience yet!!!

Saturday August 1, 2009; the main dining room is 85 degrees. The GM states that Casa Tua are trying to recreate the entire European Experience, instead of admitting that the Air Condition is simply too weak. The assistant manager later does not want to call us a taxi to go home, but asks us to walk to the corner and wait. Upon leaving, the doorhandle fell of the front door by the way...
So, if you like spending 200$++ per person for two courses and a bottle of wine while having your intelligence insulted by an lying GM, a non hospitable assistant manager, and all of that while eating in a sweat room at 85 degrees, then this should be your choice of restaurant in Miami. Remember, if your food tastes a little bit salty, it is either your sweat, the waiter's sweat or the cook's sweat...

We had dinner on a Friday night, and not only had terrible service...waiters serving us wrong size portion and then taking away...spilling champagne on menus, asking us twice for both drink and dinner orders...but the sommelier was arrogant about our wine choices and kept pressuring us to order most expensive wines.
Food was acceptable but small portions...and bill for 4 was over $800-and they charged us for extra bottle of wine...
not worth it by any stretch. Very disappointing....too bad...beautiful setting!

I went to Casa Tua on my latest visit to South Beach and I will for sure go back! You must make reservations. The staff was a little rude but the food was awesome! I ordered the NY Steak and it was delicious! The wine list is a little overpriced. Not a place to go if you're on a budget, everything is served a la carte. Beautiful and romantic setting, especially on the patio!

I am a true New Yorker, so I did not expect much from this place, (no offense Miami). However, I was very pleasantly surprised. Reservations they could work on easing up a little. It was like pulling teeth to get this reservation. We were seated outside and told at 10:00 another reservation was coming and we would have to move when they got there. Who does that? I don't want a time limit on my dining experience when I am spending that much money. However, the food was amazing! From the appetizers to the decadent risotto my mouth was very happy. The lamb chops were a bit fatty, I had to send them back. But overall everyone at my table really enjoyed their meal. I will return next time I visit Miami!!!! Ask to sit outside it is really an intimate setting and really relaxing while you are enjoying this meal.

Dined at Casa Tua on 3/10/06 for the first, and last, time. Reservations must be made well in advance, and the staff is not flexible. Nice ambiance, but could be much more romantic inside if they would only lower the lighting. Waiter kept interrupting my conversation with my date. I don't mind paying for a great meal, but the portions are small and the food is very, very average. So disappointing. Prices are STEEP (2 cocktails, 1 dessert, 2 salads, and 2 entrees = $200 before tip). Don't expect a traditional Italian menu...there was no pasta, risotto, etc. Just lots of meat and 2 fish options. There is no reason for all of the hype. Better alternatives exist all over Miami Beach, at much better values. One plus...excellent drinks. I will never go back.

Expecting the place that is so talked to be spectacular was quite a surprise when we arrived. With reservations made, we patiently waited at the bar with drinks close to an hour, before the hostess decided to tell us that our table was being ""prepared."" The service was so, so, not what we expected from such a well known establishment. Timing between course was anywhere between 15-25 minutes, after sitting for 2 hours, we still had not had our entrees. The entrees arrived as we slowly lost patience and were awful, inedible, and just plain bad. We don't mind spending the money, the prices are outrageous for what is being served, but the food nor the service was worth it. We left as the entrees were served, w/o asking for anyhting else. After 3 hours, you'd think you would have had your meal and then some.

Due to your reviews, we took a chance and made reservations. Although our reservations were made for 6:30pm, doors did not open till 6:45pm. The food was unprepared, cold and not edible. My husband sent the coffee back twice because it was cold, never drank it, it was still cold. We left our food on our plates, our waiter never asked us once if there was anything wrong with our food. Never an apology for sending back the cold coffee three times. SAVE YOUR MONEY, NOT WORTH IT!

The setting can't be beat: beautiful without the touristy crowds. The drinks are great, and the service is incredible. The food, while very good, is not so incredible as to justify the very high prices. Still, the surroundings more than make up for whatever the food is lacking. Miami should have more places like this.

What a treat! Nestled on a quiet South Beach street, the restaurant is hidden away in a beautiful villa type house. The outdoor garden combined with the decorative interior, I had to ask my date to poke me every once in a while because I thought I was in Italy. The food was great. Classic Italian and very fresh. Great crowd. Just sorry that they ran out of the chocolate moose for dessert. Gabriella the host and the owner know how to make regular people feel special. Thanks
