About Search Results

YP - The Real Yellow PagesSM - helps you find the right local businesses to meet your specific needs. Search results are sorted by a combination of factors to give you a set of choices in response to your search criteria. These factors are similar to those you might use to determine which business to select from a local Yellow Pages directory, including proximity to where you are searching, expertise in the specific services or products you need, and comprehensive business information to help evaluate a business's suitability for you. “Preferred” listings, or those with featured website buttons, indicate YP advertisers who directly provide information about their businesses to help consumers make more informed buying decisions. YP advertisers receive higher placement in the default ordering of search results and may appear in sponsored listings on the top, side, or bottom of the search results page.

I brought him a pair of 2 week old Nike running shoes whose soles had begun separating from the uppers and he wanted $25 to glue them back. While I was there, another gentleman came in with a very worn out pair of Asics with the same problem. He was told $15. I asked why the discrepancy and he said, "His shoes cost $60 and yours cost $150. I should be asking $35 to fix yours." Apparently his charge for the repair is not based on the amount of labor and materials expended, but is calculated at 25‰ of the replacement cost of the shoe. I thought I could save money by taking them elsewhere, so I went up the street to Jacob's. Read my review of my experience there. I should have paid him the $25. I might still have my shoes.

I Have brought shoes there in the past and they were always repaired properly, quickly, and cheaply. On 5/27/17 (Wednesday) I brought a 2 week old pair of $120 Nike running shoes because the rubber soles had begun to separate from the uppers and the place where I bought them (Sports Authority} wouldn't help {no warranty) other than to offer a 20% discount on the next pair I would buy. He told me $10 to glue them back but the glue had to set for 48 hrs so I could pick them up on Friday. I went back on Friday and there was a sign on the door, "closed for Memorial Day weekend - will reopen Tuesday 5/31. I went back Tuesday afternoon and the store was still closed and the same sign still in place. On Wed. afternoon, same result. Thursday, the sign was down but the place was locked up. Each day I tried calling but nobody answered the phone. On Friday, 3 guys were removing fixtures (shelves, counter, etc) to a van. They told me they worked for the landlord and that Jacob's lease was up at the end of May and he had not renewed, and that all his stock was removed prior to their arrival. They could not tell me how to contact him. He knew he would be closing before accepting my shoes for repair and he absconded with them. Please remove this establishment from your listing as it is now defunct.
