If you want to experience really traditional Cuban food in Miami Beach where the locals go, you got to try David's Café. The place has been around since the Late 70's and just expanded there location on Collins to ginormous. The food is amazing and the service feels like you are part of the family. The café con leche is out of this world. They cut back the prices to give back during this recession and yet there portions have stayed the same. Talk about family! You got to try the palomia steak with white rice, black beans and sweet plantains. My friends and I go there a few times a week and especial during the weekend since they are open 24-7. I was born in Miami Beach and was raised going to David's Café and got to tell you it's the goods. The owners Alfredo and Merita are the cutes! They make me feel like there are my parents. Alex the waiter always knows what I want to eat depending the day and knows how I like my café con leche. All I am saying is there are many other places out there, but if you want the really goods go to David's Café I of II. Cheers..
i went there for the MIAMI spice and eat the red snapper a list 5 times, and never had a problem..\r the food is very good and very honest, the deco…
Be careful! They will add a 20% surcharge to your bill. Iced tea is $7 for a 12 oz. cup. Hamburger and fries is $20.
My friend and i waited 20mins just to get our orders taken and it wasnt busy at all. Two tables one with a group of spanish folks and the other with…
first time in ocean drive ambience, Columbus Restaurant delivered good quality service although their food you may say is average yet tastefulour group of 5 was happy with our choices (salmon, steak, salads, pizzas) they offer a variety to satisfy many tastes, and you can even combine options upon requestconsidering that their waitress saved us from the pouring rain, the "service charge" was more than deservedwe are unfamiliar with other places in this neighborhood but certainly this establishment sets a good standard for its competitors nearby
I had the Thunder Road hamburger here last week, and I can tell you that I have never had a burger as large or as delicious as the Thunder Road. Imagine 10 ounces of beef, loads of American cheese, the two largest slices of bacon you have ever seen, and a delicious Bourbon barbecue sauce. It was a little pricey for a burger, but I could have easily shared my burger and fries with my wife (cutting the cost in half). The beer selection and the huge TV on the wall on the second-floor sports bar were impressive as well.
For most locals, Ocean Drive is a place to cross just to get to the beach, but in my case I had my family of four stop at Columbus Restaurant after a sunny day of fun. We ordered pizza and pasta for the kids, my hubby ordered steak New York style, I had a nice plate of seafood linguini. We were seated outside, our waitress was very eager to serve our table and took care of many details that we appreciated very much.Prices are the normal for a hotel place like The Colony but all in all I think it was worth it.
A very convincing hostess offered the restaurant's specials and was very convincing about their great atmosphere, I was seated by the bar and was an excellent spot for people seeing, the bartender was friendly and attentive, food was good too, I ordered cowboy steak and cold beer, it was a fine experience to finish my business trip in Miami beach
I visited Columbus Restaurant for my birthday, me and some friends celebrated VIP style, even the chef himself brought a special plate for me and a nicely decorated cupcake with candlesFood was well presented and everything to our satisfaction, will visit again.
Was unable to have lunch at the Carlyle during my recent visit to Miami Beach. It looked like they were updating the café area. I have patronized this business in the past and loved the experience. How cool is it to have lunch where they filmed the Birdcage?
This place has a great vibe and it is ideal to get your party started. Their menu includes options for many tastes, I celebrated my birthday here and had a great time. Strawberitas and Mojitos are their signature cocktails, two of many libations...
I just moved to the area and I've been wandering around town. I stumbled on Table 8 and was surprised at how reasonable the prices were considering the area. Good service, food and atmosphere. I'll be coming back soon.
they have outdoor seating but I preferred a booth inside, it felt like a flashback into the 60s and the food was a hit, no disappointment at all, large portions at a reasonable price, friendly staff, excellent brunch
