I guess I should take the blame for overpaying at this place but the guy clearly took advantage of the fact that I didn't know what one of these trailers should cost.

I paid $5,200 for a trailer that costs $4,000 when manufactured by DooLittle. Little did Maxwell's sales guy in Columbia know that I needed to purchase several of these trailers not just the one he ripped me off on.

Also, the first good rain we had, the inside of the trailer was ruined. The doors never sealed up right so the rain flows right in. The plywood on the ramp door is completely delaminated and ruined. They couldn't even be bothered with undercoating the plywood floor. The interior lighting has also never worked on this trailer that I purchased BRAND NEW. I tried calling the salesman back to see if they would fix the problems and they couldn't even be bothered with returning my phone call.

I recently purchased trailer number 2 of many and swear I won't buy another thing from Maxwell.

I had a trailer built to fit my Smart car so I could pull it behind my motorhome. They did an excellent job building the trailer except one problem. I had diamond plate installed in the bed and over fender wells. Instead of using stainless carriage bolts, they used steel. Almost every head of the bolts in the bed have rusted. Cost ?
