Welcome to Child Health Center! Our goal is to provide your child with the best pediatric care from infancy through adolescence. We focus on your child's growth and development, both physically and emotionally. We will do all that we can to help you. We offer same day sick appointments and weekend hours for urgent visits. Our office is handicap accessible and kid friendly. All of our Pediatricians are Board Certified and accept most major insurances. Her work has primarily focused on anxiety, parenting support, trauma/PTSD, ADHD, adjustment challenges, Autism, Intellectual Disabilities, depression, and challenging childhood behaviors.

Dr. Nelken belongs to a number of organizations including the American Academy of Pediatrics, Massachusetts Medical Society and The Helfer Society. He is actively involved with several committees relating to child abuse including the Mass Chapter AAP Committee on Child Abuse, the Essex County Child Death Review Team and the Essex County Child Advocacy Committee. Special interests include sports medicine, dermatology, and growth disorders, in addition to normal growth and development from infancy through adolescence. Dr Nelken has made several medical trips to Jamaica, Vietnam, Honduras, Venezuela and Bolivia over the years.
Occupational Therapy
Treatment options for ADHD and Learning Disabilities include accommodations in the classroom, occupational therapy and tutoring. Medication may also be discussed for ADHD symptoms.
