We were supposed to have them come out today to fix one of our appliances. We received a call yesterday confirming our appointment. We were told someone would be at our house between 3am - 6pm. Take a guess if anyone showed up or even bothered to call us? Nope. They didn't. So thanks for making us miss work just for nobody to show up. Even if there's a legitimate reason to have to reschedule, you CALL people, and not the day of their appointment. Which doesn't matter in our case because the only call we ever received was the one confirming our supposed appointment which nobody showed up for. Try doing a no call/no show at a job and see what you get. When you don't bother to show up to show how "good" you are, these are the ratings you get.
We have had two issues with our not quite three year old Samsung French Door Fridge/freezer--- We live in Baton Rouge. Both issues were serious and Solar handled the repairs for both problems. Jason was the service tech on both occasions. He is very knowledgeable, no question as to what should be done--he knows the product and how to get it fixed. There was no hesitation in what was wrong and what should be done to get it corrected. He was courteous, and such a pleasure to have in our home. He is such a good ambassador for Solar--any one would be comfortable having Jason in their home. ml
The technician from Solar refrigeration and appliances basically told me he could/would not repair my washing machine because the Whirlpool technician told him it was working correctly.
I asked him to change the part anyway and he refused because he said, "I don't want to get involved between you and Whirlpool."
Therefore, I feel that he had Whirlpools' best interest at heart and not the customer.
I would not recommend them again.

Have an extended warranty on a GE washer purchased from Lowes 3 years ago. Solar Refrigeration was the Co. Lowes sent out to repair it. After 4 visits and 3 weeks of not being able to do laundry, machine was not fixed. Enough was enough - threw out old washer and bought a new Sears Kenmore. Had 4 scheduled appointments for repair - they NEVER called to confirm any time - even though I called daily and told them that I needed to put in leave at work before I could take it. Still not one individual ever called to ask what was a good time, never called to confirm a time and on 3 occasions were at least 4 hours late or DID NOT SHOW UP or call at all. The last phone call was the manager, Ms. Caruso assuring me that her top repairman would be at my house at 7:00am on a Friday. Well guess what, did not show up at 7, or at 8, or at 9 - even though she personally told me and guaranteed he would show. NEVER AGAIN! - BEWARE - BAD BUSINESS!
