Although his hair cut was good. The staff is extremely rude. My dog was there for 4 hours and when I called with concern the woman on the phone had an attitude and was condescending, during pick up she also caught an attitude and could not give an estimated time of pick up. They need better time management. I WILL NEVER use this place again. My dog was also yelping upon arrival and she just let him yelp saying his mom wasn't there.

The price is only good because the customer service is horrible. I also don't understand why they had so many toddlers and infants in there either.

They have lost a customers dog in January that they let loose and now just a week ago was caught abusing, yelling, pulling husky dogs hair out. They have engaged in the most unprofessional behavior on Facebook and through telephone calls. They were also found abusing pets under another name. Bow Wow Grooming

I dropped my Husky off at PAWS AND CLAWS this morning to get a bath and brush out. 30 minutes later I received a 3 minute voice mail from this place. They pocket dialed me. In the voice mail you can hear the owner and employee screaming at my dog, calling him "stupid" and saying "I don't like you" along with my dog screaming in the background. At the thought of him being beaten by these people, I rushed there to pick him up immediately. The owner then proceeded to tell me that thats how they take their frustration out on dogs, by calling them names, and that the dog doesn't know whats being said to them so it's okay. I will never return here, and am going to do everything in my power to have this place investigated for animal cruelty and neglect. Especially after just seeing that a cat left their facility with broken teeth. After listening to that voice mail, with them speaking so ugly and hearing my dog crying, theres no doubt in my mind that this place uses aggressive force on animals and needs to be investigated /shut down.

Best in the Business

I have nothing but good things to say about Paws and Claws grooming.

The extra care given to my dogs and the beautiful styling job done to their coats is unsurpassed.

Paws and Claws really take pride in their work, and my dogs love going there.

I highly recommend them.

Never a Problem

I have taken my pets to Paws & Claws for over 6 years without any problems. I have one large breed dog and one small breed dog. Both have been bathed, clipped and groomed well.

Caring Professionals

I have been a customer of this grooming salon for over 14 years and have never had any problems with this establishment. I have a cocker spaniel and not everyone knows how to groom them. I trust these groomers so much with my pet that I wouldn't let anyone else groom her after Katrina until Paws and Claws reopened. I have left my cocker spaniel with Paws and Claws for boarding and would do so again since they are so caring.

They have done such a wonderful job with my cocker spaniel that I now take my other 2 dogs to them for grooming. One is a very scary mixed cocker spaniel that they have been absoutely wonderful with. My dogs look forward to going to Paws and Claws for their grooming and love everyone there.

I also know quite a few people that take their animals to Paws and Claws for grooming and they are also totally satisfied and have NEVER had anything happen to their animals by these very caring professionals.

People have stopped me on the street to find out where I have brought my cocker spaniel to get groomed because the job that they do with the grooming of my dog.

The person that works at a Vets office in Metairie needs to identify the Vets office so that people can talk to the Vet themselves to see if what they are writing is true. Don't hide behind curtains!!!

I would recommend everyone to take their pets to this grooming salon because of the excellant care and grooming that is done.

RED FLAG - Pet Owners PLEASE Read This and Beware!!

It causes me great concern that the review written by ""anonymous,"" on 1-6-2009 who is obviously the owner of the shop, is blaming the pets, themselves, for the injuries they have sustained while at this shop. They are also admitting that a substantial number of pets have come to some type of harm or injury while in their care. They even go as far as to mention a cat that, by their own admission, was brutalized to the point of having its TEETH KNOCKED OUT. I'm sure that the cat was brought to Paws and Claws by loving owners who cared enough about their pet to pay for professional grooming. I shudder to imagine the horror, torture, and suffering the cat, as well as other pets, have been forced to endure while in the hands of these abusers. This place really needs to be investigated.

Anyone who says that the employees at Paws and Claws beat or purposely harm animals are LIERS! I know from experience that the only wounds that any animal has ever recieved while being handeled by the wonderful employees at this establishment were do to their own actions! And the employees always try to prevent those things from happening, although, its hard to stop a dog while being gentle at the same time that is what they do! And just to clear up the aligations that a cat was beat and its teeth were chipped and pulled out, the cat was being extremily unruly and hard to handle and was put back into its cage were it continued to violently thrash and bite the cage door on which he broke and chipped his teeth!
