I and my wife buy a wedding dress. The store charge $370 for alteration. We think the too hight, I call my friend to ask where we can trusth, she said Long's Tailors. Then we come there. Mr Long pined , the dress fit and look very good and we can't believe he charge only $175 and will be ready one week. And my wife had a lot comment at the party. she very happy. We have a lovely honey moon.
After trying many tailors, I have decided that I am unsatisfied when my clothes are fixed poorly and I still have to pay for the services. That's why I keep coming back to Mr. Long. My suits and pants are fitted to my expectations and the prices are reasonable. This is the place to go if you want to make your money count for something.
I have been going to Long's Tailors for many years and have tailored multiple pieces of clothing from dresses to bathing suits. After tailored, each item of clothing looks as though they were made to fit my body. When inspecting the work closely, the craftsmanship is well done. I could not even tell that I had gotten anything fixed. It looked as if I had gotten it off the rack. I am very pleased with the work and recommend them highly.

I moved to New Orleans about 6 months ago and was referred to Long's Tailors. They have hemmed jeans and altered a couple dresses for me that were tailored perfectly. They are experienced and definitely know what they are doing. The best work thus far was a jumpsuit they tailored for me that was 4 sizes too big. I bought because I absolutely loved it but the only size left was too large. Mr. Long did an exceptional job with the alterations and I received so many complements on it when I wore it. Thank you Long's Tailors! Keep up the great work.

I have used Long's Tailors for years now, and have found them to be excellent.
I am very particular when it comes to alterations - I can sew myself - and so I will only accept excellent work for my money.
I have never been anything but extremely pleased. I have recommended them to family and friends over the years, and will continue to do so.

I brought a skirt in to Mr. Long to have it hemmed. I told him that I wanted it about an inch below my finger tips. He had me try it on and he decided that that would be too short so he hemmed it to my knees instead. It took him 7 days and he charged me $30 which I thought was a little outrageous. I got the skirt home and tried it on and realized that it was WAY longer than what I had asked for. I went back in with my receipt and asked him if he would please fix it- he yelled at me and refused. $30 dollars later I do not have what I asked for and I have been yelled at! Will never be returning.

Designers clothing, custom made suits, prom dresses, leather jackets or just jeans, sundresses or blouses.
After investing in expensive clothing I lost 30 pounds and brought all of my things to him. He was a amazing & honest mam. We took the best items that would be cost effective for me and what I needed now for work and decided to wait for the remainder. He could had just done them all, but it would not have made since. He did an outstanding job on everything, looks almost better than off the rack at the store! and saved me tons of money!

It is always funny to read the reactions and comments of these reviews. The review in April 08 was quite interesting. I have had all of my clothes altered with Mr. Long and at anytime when I requested anything, he has always obliged and everything I have gotten fitted there has always fit perfectly. This story just doesn't add up. I don't think anyone could be so unreasonable. Good luck buddy on finding a better tailor!

I had a new suit altered in under a week during the holiday season when everone else was telling me two weeks or more. Top notch work - great value - done as and when promised. What more do you need? I have no idea what Mr. Hundred N. Fiftydollarpants is on about. This is where you want to go for your tailoring needs. Mr. Long is a no-nonsense pro.

I was shocked to read the review that was written in April 2008 from the guy with $150 jeans. After trying numerous tailor shops in the area (many of which didn't have the clothes on time, or completely destroyed them, or the clothes still didn't fit correctly), I have been using Mr. Long's exclusively for years. I think the April reviewer must have been in a different Mr. Long's shop. There is more than one in Metairie. Almost everything in my closet has been altered by Mr. Long (sleeves shortened, pants hemmed, waists taken in, jackets tailored, etc.) The ticket ALWAYS indicates the completion date. And there has never been an instance when the clothes were not ready on time. I have also seen him work miracles with prom dresses and ball gowns. I am most amazed at how he makes my clothes fit perfectly. I'm always concerned when I have clothes taken in that they'll be too tight. They fit perfectly after he alters them. I can't imagine Mr. Long yelling at anyone. I can't imagine him not being happy to return the gentleman's jeans if he didn't want to leave them. Like I said, I think the gentleman was in a different store.

Not a good place to go at all. Avoid at all cost.
I walked into this store to get a pair of jeans altered and was greeted by a man. He did not even ask me to try my pants on, He just measured another pair of pants and told me that I was ok. After getting a ticket, he did not tell me when they will be ready or how much it would cost. I walked out and after sitting in my car, I realized that I just gave a guy a pair of $150 jeans and he did not ask me one thing.
I went back into the store and the man flipped that i was back in the store and at this point I just wanted my jeans back and he would not give them to me without a ticket. I was just in the store 5 sec ago.
Here comes the funny part. The man started yelling and telling me he was going to call the cops on me.
I wanted my jeans back!! Ticket or no TIcket.
This place is a joke!! The man does not has a clue how to run a business. I would not bring anything to this place!!EVER.
