About Search Results

YP - The Real Yellow PagesSM - helps you find the right local businesses to meet your specific needs. Search results are sorted by a combination of factors to give you a set of choices in response to your search criteria. These factors are similar to those you might use to determine which business to select from a local Yellow Pages directory, including proximity to where you are searching, expertise in the specific services or products you need, and comprehensive business information to help evaluate a business's suitability for you. “Preferred” listings, or those with featured website buttons, indicate YP advertisers who directly provide information about their businesses to help consumers make more informed buying decisions. YP advertisers receive higher placement in the default ordering of search results and may appear in sponsored listings on the top, side, or bottom of the search results page.

My grandfather recently stayed here, and don't get me wrong the place is very nice on the outside and the inside except I did notice his room had paint missing from what looked like a bed scraping the wall. One thing that is for-sure they don't have near enough nurses for this facility. It takes them so long to assist someone when they need help, my grandfather is 72 and recently broke his hip and ended up getting bed sores from a previous nursing home and they would have him sitting in his wheelchair for hours when he isn't suppose to be on his bum for no more than one. But the biggest issue was, one weekend my grandfather began to not eat and be less and less responsive and they clearly didn't see the signs but he got to where he was not responding at all and all they did was put a iv in him. a freaking iv in a non responding patient? when nobody there is equip to even assist a non responsive patient and it wasn't till the next morning that my grandma finally found out what really was going on with him because through the phone they didn't go into detail and we had to rush him to the hospital. long story short, while he's in the hospital the doctor let us know that the nursing home wasn't properly cleaning his wounds which from there we found out he had a bone infection. I wouldn't put anyone I love in this nursing home at all, they are understaffed in my opinion and don't care much about taking care of others even though they picked this profession.

If you are looking for a rehab center from surgery for your loved one, I would reconsider your choice .... have not been pleased with the service and care of my husband after back surgery ...... just giving some highlights. Don't know what happens during the weekday but I come every night after work and am popping in all weekend. His meds are constantly being given at wrong times and/or sometimes not at all. When I am there I always check his pill cup and have had numerous mixups - either not getting all of the meds at the correct time frame or giving the next dosage way too early. Was given Tylenol 3 with codeine - but repeatedly asked that it be removed from his chart and to only give him 2 regular Tylenol since he does not do well with codeine .... but constantly would come into his room and he would be so spacey and mixed up mentally for the Tylenol 3 had been given. Due to this it has delayed progress in his rehab and him being given the "two hours" of physical/occupational therapy. Had first 'care' meeting yesterday and I addressed these issues so we will see if things change. I even addressed my issues with Director of Nursing who was not in this meeting ... and in the middle of the conversation was asked 'is he on Medicare?' .... what???? why would this question be asked and what difference does it make in the quality of care he should receive. This raises a question in my mind .... that is 'oh well ... we are getting 20/21 days 100% paid by Medicare'. Oh my, I hope I am wrong. And last night my husband was assisted by staff in taking bath/shower and his walker disappeared. No one could tell me why - what happened - no reason. Well needless to say he did get a walker put back in his room before I left for the night. I am not saying that the staff/nurses are not nice and facility is ok … they for the most part are and the facility is nice, but the quality of care dealing with my husband's Parkinson's meds and the rehabilitation process has been daunting.Thursday, 12/15/2016This is continuation of my review on 12/14/2016 .... this morning when supposedly the request for Tylenol 3 with codeine was to be removed from my husband's chart .... my husband said that he asked for regular Tylenol since he was hurting some. Nurse brought in the pill cup - my husband asked is that Tylenol 3 and they said yes. When he said no, the nurse responded 'oh that's right you can't take it' and he asked for regular Tylenol again. So Tuesday at 'care' meeting, I was told that they don't give Tylenol 3 - that it had been removed from his chart and that it was not happening - undoubtedly is an untruth. Also Wednesday - day after 'care' meeting - the social worker came to my husband's room to ask him some questions without my knowledge. He has been in this facility for close to two weeks, and this is the first time social worker is just now coming to see him? Don't know if this a common practice, but I do find it strange that it was a day after the 'care' meeting of which I voiced my above concerns.Thursday, 12/15/16 (short version - word limit)Nursing Director and a gentleman helped to solidify my position/concerns about mystery of Tylenol 3 with codeine. I again informed them that morning a nurse brought in Tylenol 3 for my husband. Was told it did not happen. Well I said it did. Director asked charge nurse to open up med cart and my husband's med bin. In it was Rx bottle Tylenol 3. My husband had been given Tylenol 3 in hospital but stopped it once they knew that codeine & one of his Parkinson's meds don't mix. This bottle was sent in the transfer from hospital to facility. Nurse who probably not on regular daily rotation saw this in his bin and tried to give to my husband when he asked for Tylenol. Boom - mystery solved. If due diligent had been done right in the beginning when I addressed my concerns & frustrations this would have stopped but it undoubtedly was not done. I am hoping that we will be discharged soon.

Never come here. I was a worker who was trying to get hours for OT school. I never had a horrible experience until I worked here. I have worked in Dallas and Arlington, and one thing I can say is that this place is horrendous when it comes to sanitation. The employers here do not care for the customers and they did not give a care for anything except wasting time and getting paid. I applied to OT school and ask my mentor to give me a recommendation, one month has passed, and she keeps saying she has sent it and the school never received it. I am having to apply to others school because the mentor could not even hand me a physical copy, thus making me believe she never done it in the first place. An opportunity gone because of carelessness. Do not come thinking your loved ones will be helped, they they only help themselves to your money and make up stuff.

This is not a place I would ever like to receive treatment. The physical therapists/occupational therapist seem to know what they are doing but if your loved one is not good at communicating their needs DO NOT leave them here alone. The found blood in my father's stool so at 4 am they sent him to Dallas Regional Hospital for testing and phoned my sibling to let her know that he would be coming back to rehab. They assured her no one needed to be with him. I came to visit at 8 am and he was no where to be found. Nurse called Dallas Regional and they had sent him to Parkland ER. Again no one notified us of this. Mesquite Rehabilitation Institute gave their address as his home address and despite my sibling telling them to stay away from my father, the (I can only assume) director of MRI came to visit my father in the hospital and gave her card to the admin desk at parkland and stated my father is welcome back. The have called several times and each time we have told them he is not coming back. The director came to visit m father in parkland telling me that she promised my sibling she would look in on my father to make sure he is ok. That is a big fat lie. My sibling never, never asked them to do this. I sincerely believe they only want him back because he happens to have great insurance. Someone is going to be reported for this. I would never stay here. It is a very depressing place. Patients are kept in rooms until their 30 minute therapy sessions. I felt so sorry for some of them. No one here ever looked happy except the staff and well I can only assume its because in every patient they saw dollar signs.
