I have been trying to get replacement filters for my CPAP machine but all I have received is a hard time. I mailed them the memory card out of the machine so they could verify it was being used properly. Hell, you put on the mask, press the button and go to sleep.. .how could I misuse the machine. I was cooking meth in the machine! No, wait, I was using it to construct weapons of mass destruction! No, wait, I was using it to manufacture LSD! All I want is replacement filters and accessories I am provided by my insurance. It is coming up on a year (01/27/14) since my PCP approved a complete set up (mask, tube, head strap and filters) and I have yet to receive a return phone call. If I knew where the items were available I would be there in a heartbeat because I know that Preferred Homecare Services is only going to look good in my review mirror.Douglas K. Phones are not answered. Calls are not returned. Patients and medical staff experience same frustration. They don't use email. They spoon feed you with requirements needed for insurance company, delaying approval weeks longer than Necessary
Terrible company. It's a pain to find someone helpful. After many holds and disconnecting they tried to convince me that medicare requires "In-home evaluation" by their technicians in addition to doctor's evaluation and prescripion to purchase a wheelchair through Medicare which is a none-sense to bill Medicare an extra $350 for home visit on top of the $2000 they make by overbilling for wheelchairs.
