Established in 1981, Home Health and Hospice Care Inc. is one of the leading local home health and hospice provider serving eastern North Carolina. The center offers various services, including nursing, physical therapy and occupational therapy, among others. Home Health and Hospice Care Inc. offers community alternative programs for mentally retarded and development disabled persons. It works through its subsidiaries, such as 3HC: Certified, 3HC: Special Programs, 3HC: Private and 3HC: Hospice. The center is a member of the Association for Home and Hospice Care of North Carolina (AHHCNC) and the National Association for Home Care (NAHC).
