My dad is disabled and needs nurses to come check on him and treat him. He also gets physical therapy and occupational therapy every week. We had nothing but problems with Deaconess homecare. The workers are not professional and treated my dad like he wasn't worth their time. They were often late, that is if they decided to come at all. One nurse actually left my dad in the bath, unable to get out by himself because he was afraid he would fall. I don't know how long he had to sit there waiting for someone to come help him. The nurses would leave without giving him his breathing treatments. When they did show up, they would often leave without even telling him. He was left alone and confused, sometimes for hours, before mom would get home. If you care about your family members, do not use this "homecare", if you can even call it that.
If the "Health care" provider, had any sense, she'd know and SEE the patients she has prescribed medications to...ABUSE & OVER USE!! A doctor, nurse practitioner, RN...ALL SHOULD PILL COUNT ((AND)) MAKE A DEMAND (Patients be at their office with pills in hand) with in an hour & BE AT THE DOCTORS OFFICE for that pill count!! A provider should know that not all patients are truthful, they share meds and have major drug addiction issues now!! And you cannot say they "don't know"!! You can't just give "urine tests"...counting is a must and stop over prescribing meds when they lie about issues patients DON'T HAVE, just to get more "legal drugs"!!
