        Founded in 1975, Lauderdale County Juvenile Center houses juvenile offenders referred by the local law enforcement on criminal offenses. Based in Meridian, Miss., the center renders an array of services, including awareness counseling, court-ordered supervision and assessments for counseling. It also specializes in treatment of minors who have mental disorders, drug abuse and alcohol problems. Moreover, the juvenile center offers placement solutions which include referrals to other agencies for evaluation. It is funded by the Lauderdale County Board of Supervisors.
