Aug2017 I took my 4yr old to this Primary Health location. My son threw up that AM, had a mild fever, and spots in his mouth & throat. They ran a strep test. The provider (Christian Crawford) told us the strep test was negative & that we needed to take our son to the ER. There was no explanation, the doctor just seemed like he didn't want to deal with us. I was shocked, but I felt if we didn't take our son to the ER we would be neglecting his health.We took my son to St Luke's Meridian ER where they were confused by why we were bringing him in. I explained our Primary Health experience, so they took him, repeating that they weren't sure why Primary Health would send us to the ER. 4hrs & a throat x-ray later, we had a very large ER bill & still no answers. The ER sent us home & told us to wait it out.Oct2017 I received a bill from Primary Health. I called them & explained what had happened to several people. I was told I would receive a call back from a manager named Sensa about a no cost visit.I never received a call, but got another bill mid Dec saying we were 90 days past due. I called Primary Health again on Dec20 asking for an update. I had to relay the incident again & was told that Sensa would call me back about a no cost visit.No one ever called me back & the 1st week of Jan we received a collection letter for the balance. The next day Sensa called to inform me she had gone over the doctors notes & after talking with him, she felt that we did not warrant a no cost visit. She told me they had called the ER & explained why my son was coming & that due to his symptoms there was nothing they could do to help. She asked if I wanted further explanation, which I declined because I was just done. The very least they could have done was call me back when I originally asked in Oct. I paid the balance, which included interest because I hadn't paid while waiting for someone to respond, but I will never go back to Primary Health or recommend them to another person.
My wife went in for blood work this morning 8am. They never open on time and today was the same. I offered criticism to the Clinic Administrator and asked how can they make an appointment for 8am and not open the door until after 8am. This criticism caused me to be banned from all Primary Health buildings and lost my doctor... Wow!
Had an amazing experience at his office. Adjustment was great and staff was awesome. His Massage therapist is also amazing. Highly recommend Dr Allen and his clinic. -Brittney
I have been seeing Dr. Hooft and his fellow associates since his clinic opened about 10 years ago. Everyone is always friendly and courteous and I'm always able to get right in. You never need an appointment, regardless of what you are being seen for. Whether it's an illness, injury or just routine lab work, they always get you in right away. Even though I have moved farther away and also changed jobs (I used to work across the street from the clinic), I'll take my time and drive through 3 towns to see Dr. Hooft rather than go to a clinic that is closer to me.
Dr Hooft has treated me so well, with concern for my needs also since 2006. For me his the complete family physician and licensed medical doctor which are becoming scarce. I have no complaints and neither does my family from our history with Dr Hooft.
Dr. Greenwald is rated two stars out of 5 on most health grade sites whereby patients claim: - She does not listen to patients, she just gets louder when you start to speak to ask a question, she hardly ever see's her "patients" (maybe twice in 2-3 months) and she blames Traumatic Brain Injury patients' lingering disabilities as simply being "depression" - convenient for her as she can always point to the patients' chemistry for non-success rather than a lack of quality Healthcare administration. Maybe it's all about climbing the corporate ladder for her through success statistics, not real patient outcome...
My husband and I have been going to the clinic since it opened. We have been amazed at Dr Hooft and his staff not only being efficient but extremely kind. We have gone there for everything from stomach flu to back pain. We were diagnosed correctly and referred to specialists when needed . I have read some of the critical reviews and cannot confirm any of those comments. Dr. Hooft is a fine dr and has gotten our family through so much. When we had times of no insurance we were charged a fair amount and the medical staff either gave us samples or found the cheapest generic. We have been to the emergency room and they do so many unnecessary tests. Dr Hooft is more practical and orders tests when indicated. We appreciate this clinic soMuch and have sent countless co workers, friends and family there. We have always been thanked for referring them there and they have reported the same great service.
No one ever likes to feel sick. And so when we do we need things to go smooth and easy and that is exactly my experience at Idaho Minor Emergency and Family Practice. Friendly and helpful staff and a clean and beautiful environment. Oh, and no appointment needed!

I've read the 1 star reviews and a theme runs through all of those reviews - chronic pain, cry-babies, and those trying to get more narcotics from anyone who will give it to them! Well new readers please understand that NO upstanding doctor would DARE in this day and age, prescribe NARCOTICS to ANY patient they've only seen for the FIRST TIME! That's a quick way to lose your license to practice medicine! If these people would LISTEN to Dr. Hoofts instead of stomping your feet when he surmises that in front of him is a person in chronic pain who refuses to listen and ALREADY seems to know just what Dr. Hoofts can do for them, . . . write them yet another script for NARCOTICS! Well I'm sorry to tell them, THIS fine, intelligent, capable doctor is NEVER going to fall for that!I have had surgery from Dr. Hoofts and my wife and I trust him completely! He has correctly diagnosed every ailment, injury and complaint that we have ever taken to him. We couldn't be more pleased by the kindness and most importantly his vast knowledge of the human body and we HEARTILY recommend this SUPERB doctor!
