I have used Moving USA a few times before and they are always top notch! Scheduled the move with Peter and he provided a pretty spot on estimate of time and cost for the move. He is always responsive via email or phone. Matt and the crew who moved us did an amazing job, they were fast, friendly and thorough. Matt explained the breakdown of the costs beforehand and then quickly got onto getting all of our stuff packed away in the van. The first stop was storage and they did some amazing work getting all of our stuff into the storage unit, some pretty fancy space usage made sure that we'll be able to access anything pretty easily. Second stop was our new temporary apartment. They placed everything where it needed to go and were more than happy to help move some existing old and heavy furniture. These guys worked hard and non stop and they were always happy and cheerful throughout. I highly recommend Moving USA and will have no hesitation in using them again when we move on.
J&J Metro moved me into my new home on Tuesday. I was in a 2nd floor apartment in Ocoee and just moved to a small 2 bedroom home in Sanford (Lake Mary area). I originally called and spoke with Neil, he went through a series of questions regarding both of the locations as well as exactly what I was moving. The call took maybe 6-7 minutes from start to finish and at the end of the call he was able to give me an exact estimate of costs based on what I had moving. He then emailed me an estimate so that I had it in writing and outlined all of the items, the addresses, and a full outline of the costs. After calling around to several other companies and after talking to several of them they just wanted to give me a well most 2 bedrooms take 2-3 hours and our hourly rate is blah blah, and you are charged whatever it takes plus truck charge, fuel, etc. Although J&J Metro does still charge what they call a travel time, and fuel, as well as an hourly charge they actually tell you exactly how long
I hired J&J Metro moving twice in the last 2 months. I have never hired a mover before but when we had to move offices I was tasked with finding someone. I have heard nothing but horror stories about moving companies. The moving industry doesn't always have the best reputation and that made me very cautious about the company I hired.I called into the office and spoke with Jason about what I was trying to get done. He walked me through the process from pick up to delivery. He explained they would take extra care of my glass items and that they would be able to fully dismantle and reassemble any of the furniture that needed it. That was a relief! After talking to a couple of other companies in the area I decided that I would hire J&J based on the conversation and the way they made me feel like they could get the job done with no hassles. I still have to do my regular job, I didn't want to worry about whether or not they could do theirs!! These guys were great... period.
After my husband passed last year I decided to downsize and move closer to my daughter and grandkids in Miami.. I had heard of Safeway Moving from a friend at Church and gave them a call. Everyone was extremely helpful in an arranging my first big move by myself, and my sales representative was so sweet and patient as I debated what items to donate or sell. She helped me through the inventory and was willing to use mostly pictures to get an accurate quote. There was a small price increase when the crew arrived, but it’s perfectly understandable – I ended up with extra boxes last minute as I forgot about the powder room. I’m quite pleased with how They handled my move, and definitely recommend them.Thanks for not making any mistakes during my relocations. I trusted you not to let me down and it was so. The relocation services were so different from what I had expected before. Instead of the usual average relocation services that most companies offer, my experience was unique.
I had an excellent moving experience with Safeway moving and storage last month. I am a small business owner and I needed to move to my first newly purchased house in Delaware. This was exciting for me and at the same time it needed it to be done with a lot of coordination. I chose Safeway moving and storage after reading a lot of good detailed reviews of this company. Most clients seem to be very impressed with their service. I called their help line and was answered by their sales rep. He was very efficient and spoke the best English ever. The main criteria of my move were; to move on a Saturday. He explained to me that the Saturday schedule was very packed and requested me to consider on a Friday. I requested him to please make some arrangement to pick me on the weekend as I too am a business owner. He assured me that he needed time but would definitely get back with some solution.
I hired this company for my move and I can say they are truly awesome. I had a good amount of stuff to move including large furniture and my previous apartment was on the third floor. They really amazed me with their superb service, their expertise and skill. The stairwell is narrow and they were able to bring my leather couches down from the third floor without any damages!!! Well they also wrap everything really nice too!! Everything was done with such ease and fast!!! I was in my new apartment on Kirkman in two hours and it didn't even feel like I moved. Relocations are my worst nightmare. Thankfully, there was this company which took some of that stress away from me during my last relocation. The primary reason why I chose them was the amazing quote they gave me. They were offering the same rate as most other companies but they were giving me an early morning slot. It meant my movers would be energetic. The movers who arrived right on time were very well equipped for the task. They efficiently packed everything and moved them to the vans. They were done with everything so quickly. I only gave them directions for the job. They made the delivery on schedule and all my stuffs were in great condition. I don’t think every move has to turn out to be so traumatic!
There are so many unanticipated costs when it comes to moving companies. They quote you something and then they keep adding to it for ridiculous reasons. Thankfully, nothing like that happened during my last move. I hired Safeway and quite honestly, I was expecting them to be like any other moving company. But they were nothing like others. They were totally professional and very honest. Their original quote was as good as any other company. They sent over 4 very capable men who worked very hard to pack my furniture and other belongings. They were throughout professional and efficient. I received all my things in proper condition and the final bill was just right. I am happily recommending these guys.
I work for the government and always get moved around in a year or two. This time I hired Safeway moving and storage because they have an impeccable reputation in the market. They gave me a very rational rate for today’s market. I was very impressed seeing their crew arriving with all the proper equipment and their vans were in very good condition. It was the quickest move of my life given how efficiently the men worked. They were like machines packing and loading all my belongings systematically. There was no chaos anywhere. All my belongings were delivered 3 days later as promised and everything was in excellent condition. These movers really know their business and I am very grateful to them.

For both local and long-distance moving companies, AMSA is another good place to check out a company's legitimacy. Moving companies aren't required to be an AMSA member, but the ones that are have committed to the association's rules and regulations, which protect both the companies and the consumers hiring them. If a company isn't an AMSA member, that doesn't mean it isn't reputable, but an AMSA membership is a clear indication of legitimacy.

Choose a Moving Company That Plans Ahead
Moving companies can better keep your belongings safe when the movers plan ahead. What does this mean? Many companies take extra time to measure doorways, halls and stairways to find the safest route in and out of your home. They should also provide furniture blankets, covers and moving pads to keep both your home and your belongings free of scratches or other damage.
Keep the Moving Area Safe
There are some things you can control on moving day and some things you simply can't, such as the weather. If you're moving on a snowy, icy or rainy day, keeping all of your paths, stairways and walkways clear and dry is crucial. This can help protect both the movers and the large items they're carrying to and from the truck.
The subject of tipping is relatively unclear when it comes to movers. However, there is a general rule of thumb that most people in the industry agree on: Tip your movers if they've done a good job and you think a tip is warranted.
Generally, a 5 percent tip is considered appropriate, though some people recommend paying $20 per day, per mover for basic, local moves. However, almost everyone agrees you should first do a quick walk-through of your home to check for any damage to your furniture or belongings and to make sure everything is where you'd like it to be.
If you do decide to give a tip, divide it evenly and give money to each individual, rather than giving the entire sum to the head mover and expecting it to be doled out equally. One type of tip to avoid: alcohol. It's usually illegal for movers to have bottles of alcohol in the truck or van, so tipping a bottle of wine or liquor could get them into trouble.
