I will not go back to this place ever. My car went from running to not running when they had it. Never wanted to fix it. Its just a money hungry place that do crappy jobs

Back in February of 2012, I had a radiator that went bad, I had Merced Radiator and Muffler replace my radiator with a new one. A few days later, my check engine light started to flash, so I took my 2000 Toyota Tundra back to them to run a diagnostic; which was very expensive, Lmost 90.00 just for the diagnostic, they found an error code telling them that it was the Number 2 coil that was causing the error, they offered to replace it; which I agreed to; however, in May of the same year, I had the same problem. In order to avoid having to pay another 90.00 for the diagnostic, I went to Pep Boys; which show that they have the best customer service skills, especially from Ron, he was excellent. With the diagnostic from Pep Boys, I found out that it was the same coil that was replaced by Merced Muffler that was having the problem. I took the paper work from Pep Boys to Merced Muffler after I called Merced Muffler and explained the situation, once I provided Hugo, the information, he informed me that he has to check it himself, and that he will not be able to get to it today, and asked if I could drop it off the following morning at 8am, and expressed that it is not his fault that the coil went bad. After hearing so many excuses and telling me that he could not give me any money back, I had no choice to agree to his terms; which made me feel unimportant as a customer. I will never go back there again, and I will never recommend anyone to go there. I recommend Pep Boys in Merced, because of the great customer service, and garuantees for their services.
