Montrose Auto Sales & Leasing

I got a mailer from Montrose Auto last week which had pull tabs and offered prizes if your number matched the prize number listed. After pulling all the numbers, one of my numbers matched (if you read the fine print, everyone was a winner, just not of a valuable prize...). I've gotten these mailers in the past, and normally I just discard my "winning" ticket because it's pretty obvious I'm being offered something rather worthless to stop by the dealership. This time, though, my number matched next to the picture of a new Flat-Screen TV, which piqued my interest. I thought "ok, if I won a TV, I'll head in to check this place out tomorrow..." So I did stop by the next day. When I got there, there was no one to help me (I was with two of my young children), and the room looked like a pretty shady place. Instead of finding someone to help me, there were several disgruntled looking people holding the same mailer I had received. After about 15 minutes of just standing there, and figuring out that I was most likely being scammed and not receiving a TV, I was approached by a salesman (wouldn't have known, as he was just dressed in a regular button-down shirt, like half of the other old gentlemen in the shady room...) who asked if I was there to look for a car. When I told him I was there to get my prize (I may have been interested in looking when I got there, but not after being there for 15 minutes and feeling like I was being lied to already...), he ushered me down a hallway, and gave me a piece of paper to fill out to enter to win a TV, and told me I had won a free lottery ticket (which won me precisely $0 and meant that I didn't even recoup the gas it cost me to get there, let alone the wasted afternoon time...). When I began to tell the man that my number was lined up next to the TV, he just hushed me and told me where the door was. If the company is run anything like its promotions department, there is nothing but deception and thievery going on at Montrose Auto. Warning to those who want to try to do business with them, that in my experience they are an awfully shifty and shady bunch to attempt to deal with in any meaningful fashion. It did provide me a valuable lesson to teach my kids about honesty as we went home discussing the fact that Daddy didn't win the TV even though the prize picture seemed to indicate that he did. I informed them that they should never run a business by dishonest practices. Dealing with Montrose was one of the worst car dealership experiences of my life, and I not recommend it to anyone at all!
I recently bought my 04 GMC Sierra from Franks and it is the 3rd car I have purchased from them! I love dealing with the owners and not some sales person who doesn't care about me and is more worried about pushing out another unit. Whenever I go to Franks I feel like family and get treated as such. Franks is always fair on the trade...and I always feel like I got a good deal on the car I'm buying. I do enjoy a good haggle session though ;). If you're in the market for a used car I definitely recommend considering Franks...Especially if you're looking for low mileage upscale vehicles...not just a beater that hasn't even been serviced or detailed like at most other used car lots you'll find! I had a small mechanical issue with the first car I bought 8 years ago within the first month and I remember how much it meant to me that Frank was willing to help out and pay for the repairs.
I was looking for a dependable used car and did not want to deal with a new car dealership. I research the internet, read all the reviews, talked with friends and wound up buying from Franks Auto. I dealt with Frank the owner and he was not high pressure like other places I visited. He let me take the car to my mechanic, who gave it an A+. Frank went over every detail of the 2005 Lexus, showing me the Carfax, any repair bills that were recently done and offered an extended warranty at a reduction! The price was right, the car was right but I still had to think about it - No Problem. I came back with my father a few days later and Frank took the time to go over everything with him. Being this was a major purchase he also called the Better Business Bureau. I had my car now for about a month and wanted to wait to write my review. Nothing has changed, this dealership is great place and I am so glad we researched and found many good reviews. I would highly recommend purchasing a car from this dealership
If I could rate it 0 stars I would. Were sold an older model BMW and really feel as tho we were lied to on the original condition of the car. I would not trust anything these guys tell you - the car clearly had experienced a wreck which was not told to us originally, even when we asked about it. Will likely be getting rid of the car at a considerable loss. Buyers Beware.
