Here is the story that really won me over. I was the most impressed when we had a problem with an elderly confused person to whom we had written checks and made regular payments (through the bank automated bill pay system.) We contacted the bank and asked for assistance in getting copies of cancelled checks and information on when the bank's bill pay system had sent the check payments. It was a time of stress for us, since I wasn't sure I could locate our bank statements from 2011 when the elderly gent suddenly in late 2014 -- suddenly decided he hadn't been paid three years earlier.I explained I needed cancelled checks and bank bill pay information, and share with them why I needed it. I figured it would be week, ten phone calls and large bank charges for the documents and research. Within two business days, I had all the cancelled checks, by bill pay records and everything I needed -- their only question was --would you like that electronically delivered or a paper version mailed to you? I was so impressed. I had never before felt like my bank was on my side, they were valiant and lightening fast in pulling cancelled checks, bill pay information to prove all the payments were made and on time.
