Went on Tuesday afternoon for tacos it was the special for that day. When we got our food the meats was cold at best and the shells were stale. We complained and were told that the meat was in a crock pot and the cook stated they were hot. But when the replacements came they were just as bad. We decided to go elsewhere. We to give it one more chance and went there on a Friday evening. The bartenders were more interested in partying with the regulars playing dice games instead tending to customer. When we asked to be served the blonde bartender was very intoxicated and acted like we were interrupting her play time and was very rude. When we finally ordered my wife got the fish and I wanted a wrap. The bartender said that I could not get it because it was a special made on Thursdays. Even though it was on the menu, so I got the fish. We got our food and it was cold. My wife asked for the manager. A young lady claiming to be the owner came to my wife and was intoxicated herself and had the audacity to stick up for her bartenders. After that we only had a few bites and decided it was not worth the effort anymore and took the evening as a total loss. This place tries the get business though coupon in the clipper magazines and on line to bring in new cliental. That is a joke because if you are not a regular you are treated like crap
Ordered a Burger for delivery. Bun was hot and fresh not at all soggy. Huge beef patty. Only recondition is to put lettuce on the side so it dosent get soft but was of high quality produce. I'll definitely order againLast week had two pizzas delivered. Was like being back in Chicago. Thanks guy. Great job!
We will do our best to make sure we provide our customers with the best food and service possible! Nobody is perfect, so if you are not satisified please let us know so we can address the issue. Please understand that this is not fast food, so if you're in a hurry please call your order in ahead. While you are at Grinderville please check out our Veterans wall and read about the history of the grinder! It is truly a historic sandwich that is unique to the midwest!
The old mancinos had been a favorite but the service got terrible and we stopped going years ago. The service at the new "grinders" is fantastic, the pizza is great. Even the web site mentions a new attitude.
will NOT be going back. They used to have good pizza but changed to a very poor, cheap crust.I have had better crust on some frozen pizza. My friends and I had a total of 6 rounds over the night and bar would not pay for one. Bartender told us his instructions were to NEVER buy the customers a round. What's up with that?! Overpriced too.
Their prices are very reasonable & the food is very good. Their breakfast is the best, generous portions. The complaint is they do not serve fresh roasted turkey, it's processed but other than that, it's very good. Fish fries are really good too.
Mancino's has been sold and will now be called Grinderville. We stopped in and were quite impressed with the beautiful remodel. It is cheery and comfortable. But it is the food that earns the star rating! We ordered a pizza called the t-rex (meat lovers), the cheesy garlic bread, and a roast beef grinder. There was way more food than 2 hungry people could eat at a very reasonable price. We got a chance to speak with the new owner who stopped at the table to see if everything was satisfactory. (very pleasant young man) The food was excellent. The pizza had lots of toppings on a traditional, nicely crisp crust. The grinder had plenty of beef on a bread that was crisp and tastier than any we've had before. We took leftovers home and reheated, they tasted as good as day 1. Tasting is believing!
The staff has always been friendly and professional. I now go to RBG quite often and have taken many friends there as well. The Management and staff made our American Cancer Society Relay for Life Committee and Relayers all welcome by providing a room for our monthly Team Captain and Committee meetings. They were extremely generous in donations, involvement and time. They not only supported our committee and organization, but have also supported other community programs and events. Their commitment to giving back to the community is incredible and the hearts of all of the staff are huge. Thank you so much for your generous support and community involvement. You've done a tremendous job!!
This is an old-school mom and pop pizzeria that hasn't changed much, and I am so glad! The pizza is what I was used to growing up in Milwaukee, where there were dozens of first and second generation Italian families running restaurants with pride. The pizza is top-notch, not the artificial crap you get with chain restaurants. Service was so attentive it was scary. Two pizzas with lots of leftovers for $30. A cheap date night we really enjoyed.
