We will do our best to make sure we provide our customers with the best food and service possible! Nobody is perfect, so if you are not satisified please let us know so we can address the issue. Please understand that this is not fast food, so if you're in a hurry please call your order in ahead. While you are at Grinderville please check out our Veterans wall and read about the history of the grinder! It is truly a historic sandwich that is unique to the midwest!
The old mancinos had been a favorite but the service got terrible and we stopped going years ago. The service at the new "grinders" is fantastic, the pizza is great. Even the web site mentions a new attitude.
will NOT be going back. They used to have good pizza but changed to a very poor, cheap crust.I have had better crust on some frozen pizza. My friends and I had a total of 6 rounds over the night and bar would not pay for one. Bartender told us his instructions were to NEVER buy the customers a round. What's up with that?! Overpriced too.
Mancino's has been sold and will now be called Grinderville. We stopped in and were quite impressed with the beautiful remodel. It is cheery and comfortable. But it is the food that earns the star rating! We ordered a pizza called the t-rex (meat lovers), the cheesy garlic bread, and a roast beef grinder. There was way more food than 2 hungry people could eat at a very reasonable price. We got a chance to speak with the new owner who stopped at the table to see if everything was satisfactory. (very pleasant young man) The food was excellent. The pizza had lots of toppings on a traditional, nicely crisp crust. The grinder had plenty of beef on a bread that was crisp and tastier than any we've had before. We took leftovers home and reheated, they tasted as good as day 1. Tasting is believing!
This is an old-school mom and pop pizzeria that hasn't changed much, and I am so glad! The pizza is what I was used to growing up in Milwaukee, where there were dozens of first and second generation Italian families running restaurants with pride. The pizza is top-notch, not the artificial crap you get with chain restaurants. Service was so attentive it was scary. Two pizzas with lots of leftovers for $30. A cheap date night we really enjoyed.
I love the feel of the restaurant it's been there a long time. They keep the place up nicely without losing the original charm. Best known for their pizza. Besides that I really enjoy their appetizers of garlic bread, calamari, or breaded mushrooms. I had the spaghetti and meatballs once, it was good but nothing out of the ordinary.
