Something has changed. I used to preach about how wonderful Cousins was; I started using them in 2007, and I used them so much the owners knew me and my husband and were always so warm. A few months ago, however, I took some clothes in to be dry cleaned and they came back dingy and stained, as if they'd been washed in dirty brown water. One of the items (which had been cleaned previously without any issue) also had areas where the colors had bled all over each other. I was told I needed to speak to the owner, but he never returned any of my calls and was not there when I came to the store, until finally I waited in the parking lot one morning when he opened for the day. He acknowledged the items had been damaged and said he would re-clean them -- which did nothing. $300 worth of clothes ruined. He would not give me a refund. He would not reimburse me for the cost of replacing my clothes. He offered me $8.95 off my next cleaning... which, of course, there will never be a "next cleaning". So disappointing to have to say this after 10 years, but avoid Cousins Cleaners.
I took over 50 pieces of clothing to DMC for cleaning. Each piece was cleaned and revitalized. Even sequin outfits looked like they were new. The personnel are friendly and helpful. They go the extra mile to ensure their customers are satisfied.
Very unprofessional and rude! We had requested alteration of my son's pants, paid for services upfront. They returnes the pants with different pant leg lengths. One was LONGER than the other! And the sewing was crucked. The pants were returned dirty and wrinkled. The lady working there refused a refund! Pathetic waste of space.
Great service plus very professional outgoing. Definitely recommend others
Love supporting these local family owned business !They do same day service (if dropped off early) and will do next day return. The owners are immigrants, but try really hard to understand exactly what kind of service you are looking for. HIGHLY RECOMMEND btw 99 cents for men's laundry shirts?? (cant get any better)
DO NOT USE!!They told my sister THE WEEK of her wedding that they were short three ties for her wedding. Even though they had had the order for months. Very unapologetic.Additionally, a pair of suit pants that was ordered for the wedding came in so small that it was unable to be altered to fit - EVEN THOUGH, the guy who ordered them went in to be fitted. They had one job. And they failed at a most important time. Do not give them your business because you cannot count on them to do what you paid them to do, or care that they screwed it up.
I could not find an email address to send you this but hopefully this will find its way to the Owner/Manager. I have been a loyal customer to your dry cleaners for 15 years. This morning I found out last minute I had something I needed to attend mid day tomorrow. I rushed to your dry cleaners at Poplar, the one I have been going to for 15 years, and arrived at 9:15am hoping to get same day service. I understand that I missed the cutoff time by 15 mins but based on my long-term loyalty I thought a 1 time exception could be made. Unfortunately the girls at the counter were not having it and long term loyalty means nothing! Unfortunately I have made the decision to take my loyalty somewhere else after this event. No, I am not leaving due to this one event. The counter service has truly gone down hill over the past few months and I have bitten my tongue for as long as I can. Thank you for your service over the years but the counter service has gone down hill and I must move on.
I used to have a high opinion of Happy Day. Unfortunately, our friendship had to come to an abrupt halt due to poor business practices and consumer abuse. Long story short, they burned a hole into the shoulder of a beautiful new jacket, refused to pay reparations OR even give me an apology. They kept the jacket for two months and it took over 15 phone calls and 7 weekly visits to finally get it back. Mistakes happen, jackets get ruined- that's life. However, the inability of the owner (Bobby) to muster any human decency is unforgivable and, quite frankly, unctuous business practice. It's upsetting that a company that I held in such high regard would have such little care for their clientele- While I would have highly recommended Happy Day prior to this incident, I now have no choice but to explain its abuse to anybody and everybody with any interest in their services. Please be warned before bringing your beloved belongings to them.
The owner has decided that any shirts I bring back which have stains - I will be charged the dry cleaning rate instead of the laundry rate. When was the last time you heard of a cleaners raising there prices because there quality control didn't do a good job getting the clothes clean?! BTW once the shirts are sent back the come back cleaned - Hey do your job right the first time instead of having the customers have to return the clothes for a re-do! Where's your customer ?!!!
Friday I was there washing, left for a fifteen minutes.Clothes was in a basket. Laundromat was not full. The light skinned short lady took my clothes out..When i told her to let me handle my own clothes, she got rude with me and so i furious and still tried to be gentle with her to not touch my clothing and she called the police. My clothes was on the dryer and she took them out. This is by far the worst experience ever i have had. That lady was so rude to me..and on top of that, I didn't get a chance to get my money back from the dryer nor my basket for my clothes. She was very unprofessional at her job and i became rude due to her unpoliteness. Anyways...she barred be from there and I resent even going there since the other owner sold it. I wish he was still there. He was a old kind Korean man that was in a wheelchair. I miss him. Now I'm going to have to find another place to wash clothes. I gave this review 1 star because of the other workers that was there..they're ok...but she was wrong for her attitude towards me.
