DO NOT GIVE THIS VENUE YOUR CREDIT CARD OR RUN A TAB WITH THEM!!I attended a concert at the New Daisy Theater that someone had given me tickets to for my birthday. The bartender accidentally charged me for the guy next to me's beer. I explained that I wasn't purchasing his beer and she said that she would owe me a free drink. I agreed and we closed that purchase out for a total of $15.00. I returned to that bartender later for my free drink and received it. All was well with this transaction. The next day, I saw my transactions on my card, and I had a separate $84.00 charge besides the $15 charge. I called to dispute with the merchant. The merchant took their time to respond, but when they did, they sent me both receipts for the transactions on my card. The $15.00 charge was legit and signed by me. The $84.00 charge CLEARLY had someone else's signature on it...someone that's name starts with a J. My name and signature has no J anywhere in it. (I've included photos of the receipts in this review that the New Daisy provided to me.) And, I did NOT have $84.00 worth of drinks (I would be close to death if this were true!). I told them this was not my signature and there was clearly a mix up, but they refused to refund my money anyway. I feel that the bartender was confused and let someone else purchase drinks on my card without my knowledge. I'm truly upset that this happened on a night that I was celebrating my birthday, and I feel robbed. To add on top of fraudulently charging me, the drinks were overpriced, the sound was horrible (constant feedback during some of my favorite songs), and the service people were rude the entire night. To sum it up, DO NOT GIVE THIS VENUE YOUR CREDIT CARD OR RUN A TAB WITH THEM! If there are problems with it, they wont resolve it! If you want to see your favorite band, find a different venue hosting bc guarantee the sound will be better! Oh, and thanks, New Daisy for the crappiest birthday ever!!
Very nice theater that has beer and wine for adults. Service is pretty nice and theater is clean. Good spot on a rainy day. Close by restaurants make it easy to have a dinner and a date movie.
With the robbing prices of theaters today its worth it to wait until it gets here. This way you can buy a ticket and get popcorn with spending 40 dollar!
Come to Memphis. A great and Happening place
My family has been going since they opened and we love it .
We were visiting from out of town, and decided to go see "12 Years A Slave", which is rated R. We arrived at the ticket window at 7:00p, and were turned away due to a policy that does not allow youths to see any R-rated movies after 6:00p, regardless of whether their parents are there.
Terrible experience..Staff is rude! will not be back or make a donations. I really can not believe the woman who stands and speaks to the crowd she thinks she is on Broadway at least with the rolling of her R's too affected for words.
I just finished watching finding nemo...what a 3D movie
