This is an awful company. The owner, Maurice, is suppose to be an expert in Behavior Health, but he needs help for his own behaviors. He is out of control and speaks to the clients with disrespect. He hires people that does not have any experience. It is easy to get a job, just walk off the street and you are hired, no special training required. If you are breathing, you are hired, just need a warm body. He blames the clients for the turnover rate, but they do not hire people that have compassion for the lest fortunate. The staff abuses the clients and they cover it up. This company needs to have it's license revoked and shut down.
Dr. Smith is a caring, personable professional whom I highly recommend for anyone seeking psychiatric services. His engaged, calming, non-judgemental character opens the door widely for you to share your needs, your problems, your concerns. Go see him.
This is not a great company to work for. They make you pay for your background check and all of your training and do not reimburse you for the cost. I was excluded from the training due to me already having the training that was needed. So then I go on and ready to work but my sister had got rushed to the hospital the day I was suppose to show. I called and left a message for Tiffany the day of I was suppose to come in. (Would've been able to talk to her but everybody in that office besides the secretary shows up about an hour or more late). Then Tiffany called me back and told me if I don't come in, no matter if my sister is in the hospital or not, their moving on with the process and I'm not going to get my money back from the orientation nor background check. I told her I'm still not coming in no matter she threatened me or not because I can't leave my sister side. She paused for a minute as if she wasn't expecting that answer and she told me ok and I don't need to expect my money.
My first appointment did not go well. I arrived on time to an empty office. Everyone was at lunch. As I waited I listened to phone calls and voice messages being broadcast from their phone. Patients calling with personal info for everyone to hear. (Me-I guess-as I was the only one there) isn't that a violation? The staff started coming in and after a full 35 minutes I was finally spoken to. I had not even been looked at. Very awkward. Finally got to see the director and told him that I should probably find another facility. We worked through that and I stayed. I paid the required fee on every visit until I knew I had exhausted my deductible. At my request the bookkeeper also discovered that I was now probably overpaying. Now,,,, 3 months after my last appointment I've yet to receive a refund check. I've called and called and sent numerous emails to the director. He finally said he could no longer help me that it had gone to the corporate office and I should maybe call them. Today I discovered that my refund as not been processed yet at the local office and of course has not gone to the corporate office either. Really sad to think that no one cared enough to follow through with this, all the while assuring me that they were doing all that they could. I will be happy to get my $$$ back from them and would discourage anyone from using this business.
Dr. Smith is the best psychiatrist I have ever seen. His website is great and had tons of information on the TMS therapy I was looking for. He was so kind and easy to talk to once I got my appointment, and I never felt uncomfortable. There was a woman at the front desk that was also very nice, and the front desk people are not always that nice when you go to the Dr. for some reason??!! I was completely at ease during my appointment here. Dr. Smith made me completely relaxed and comfortable the entire time. I would definitely recommending him to anyone looking for a psychiatrist.
