Cut my point short. I went this shop 4 times within 2 months and 3 out of this 4 times I ended with buying food that was spoiled. I have been very careful of looking for expiration date on the package and I still got the bad ones. Once I call bad luck. 3 times, I call it cheat. For example, I bought a package of chicken wings yesterday and found it was spoiled. Why? Because there is a double lable on the package. After I peeled the first one, I found the one underneath has the expiration date of last week. That is dishonest and shame on the owner. But I also need to be fair of my review. After all, they sell other good stuffs besides spoiled food. They have good vegetables and varities seasoning from asia. As I know, they reload fresh vegetable every Thursday. But be really careful when you pick fresh meat or anything they keep in cooler. Check the date. Any sign of double stick, any sign of earse of numbers on the package, DON'T BUY IT. Another thing you need to be aware is the payment. Cash is the best. I gave my debit card to them and the machine doesn't even ask for security number to process my card. Imagine what will happen if you had left your card there. I questioned the owner, and he reply me in a careless manner. I hope my reviews helps. I am chinese and I love my countryman. But, man, give me a break and save our reputation. If you cheat all the time, you will end with your shop stuck in a cheap neighborhood for ever.
i love fresh market! i feel like i am in the home of my wonderful grandmother, mary hester, way down in schlater, miss.!! i wish, wish, i had been raised on a farm down in the miss. delta, but, the next best thing is fresh market! there used to be a "squash blossom" store on union. i cried when it closed! do you know why it closed? not enough customers! there are so many fat, lazy, stupid, people in memphis on food stamps, that they want to shovel anything into their mouths. the "obama generation", as i call them. go to this store, people! buy their foods. all of them. they are full of the nutrition that God originally put in food. they are not "empty, dead" foods! then, maybe, just maybe, probably, there will be less and less cancer, that is killing the peoples of this fine nation@
Gary's Mrkt knows how to treat their customers with respect and degnity. They go out of there way to please the customers. Not a day goes by that you do not see the owners very friendly and there employees treat you with the same respect. To me, this is an old fashion type of grocery/gas store that you no longer see. This is not a convenience store, but a nice family atsomphere market. It does offer gas, hot and cold lunches, frest mean and vegetable's. All the employees I have dealth with over 15 years have all treated you with smiles and willing to help. What a great store. I want to send my congradulations to Mr. Gary and Ms. Norma (the owners) for running such an outstanding business..
Iam so happythat there is now a store where we can buy some hot good tasting real food.. The whole neighbor hood is still talking about the store and the good foodthat you are serving the community. You are missing popsicles and ice cream. If already have it iam glad. And i am so glad that you are not selling beer. Tha keeps all the drunks from hanging around there. But what i hate is the People'z be begging outside the store. Please stop that it keeps People'z afraid to approach the store. Keep up the GOOD Cooking
i remember when fred montesi opened at this location back in the early 1960's! i was one of the first people into this store, now cash saver, when it opened on saturday several years ago. i love the "cost plus 10%")! i know most of the managers, they having transferred from piggly wiggly. i now have a peg tube (stomach tube), but, i bought collards, and, mustard greens there today to blend in my mixer. just ate them! i can't taste them, but, the prices were great. love how they just re-modeled this store. love this place! takes me way, way back.
Mi Pueblo has always had great food every time I have gone there. The flavors are authenic and always robust.. If you are not familiar with a certain food this is an excellent way to sample many varieties of Mexican dishes and pick out your favorites. The buffet line also has foods which are not Mexican which is excellent when younger chilren are involved. Feed them thier beloved chicken nuggets but also introduce them to new tastes!! The staff is always courteous.
This is a little corner grocery store that has the nicest people that you will ever meet. In the back of the store, you can purchase a hot plate. The cook is exceptional. She makes some of the most delicious food that you will have away from home. The prices can't be beat. You get enought food for two people or to have for two seperate meals. They get 5 out of five stars!!!
