Perhaps the owner needs to undergo a temperament test instead of the dogs.......I had a extremely racist experience there today in which I was ushered out when I asked what they planned on doing with the many pallets that they had on their lot. I truly do not believe that African Americans are welcome there. My goal was to build some deck furniture for my wife out of pallets and saw what they had from the street when passing by to bring supplies to my restaurant. When I inquired about the pallets the owner said to me as she waved and ushered me to the door "We are all about boarding and we are all about training." I asked her "Did I say something to offend". She said no and slammed the door shut. I later called back thinking that maybe she thought I was some homeless guy begging because of what I had on....She hung up in my face....The owner does not know who I may know or who I may or MAY NOT recommend to do business with her. I am in the business of customer service. I have to treat anyone who walks into my restaurant with dignity and respect. I always try to look for the good in people and the owner left me with no explanation other than she must have been racist. Sometimes the worst form of racism is expressed in the most subtle ways. I was willing to buy the pallets and if given time to get to my second question I would have asked how much to groom a T-Cup Yorkie.

We love Paw Paw's! We have boarded our pups and have done daycare there for many years. Rebecca and staff have always taken excellent care of our babies. Highly recommend!

I was a happy customer at Paw Paws Daycare until a recent incident made me reevaluate. After picking our dog Stax up from a ten-day boarding, we discovered a severe wound on his foot.

This injury, under their watch, prompted me to explore other options. I contacted owner Rebecca to cancel daycare and requested a refund for the upcoming month's fee, which had already been charged.

Rebecca, quite viciously, denied the refund, citing their service agreement. I then mentioned Stax's injury, which required treatment, sedation, recovery, and a substantial vet bill, hoping for some grace given the circumstances and our history as customers.

Shockingly, Rebecca immediately denied responsibility, insisting the injury happened outside daycare. However, this was simply impossible. Stax was with us for just 24 hours and mostly slept after his boarding at Paw Paws. She coldly stated that "there will be no refund" -- and showed *zero* care, consideration, or compassion for the well-being of our dog.

Rebecca's dismissive, unapologetic demeanor toward this injury shows where her true priority lies: protecting her bottom line and childishly winning arguments, not genuine concerns from a customer. Prior to this injury, we had used Paw Paws for six months and spent over $3,000 on their services. Her treatment was simply unacceptable.

Moreover, Stax's injury raises concerns about cleanliness, supervision, and crating duration during boarding stays at Paw Paws. (Notably, Rebecca's website has *zero* photos or information about their boarding practices.)

Based on her reaction to our incident, if you inquire about their boarding practices, I'd expect combativeness, resistance, and even possible reluctance to show you the facilities. If that isn't a red flag, I don't know what is.

If you're unsure about Paw Paws, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. I'm relieved to leave Rebecca's daycare and hope this review encourages her to treat customers with more dignity and respect.

The Wilson family took care of our puppy, Rosie, for three months, until we unfortunately had to move. They did a wonderful job taking care of our girl - I never felt unsafe leaving her there. They are truly in the business because they love animals - to that end, services are incredibly reasonable from a price standpoint, and very high-value. In fact, they took extra care to bring her inside when it got too hot, because of her short nose. I never saw the dogs unattended, outside or inside. She came home after every play day happy and exhausted. She boarded with them for a few days when I was out of town and there were no issues. When we noticed that she had some changes in her bowel habits, Rebecca was happy to make recommendations for some changes that we could make, and we haven't had any issues since then. Wish we would have been there long enough to take advantage of their training classes. We miss these guys - there is not a similar facility in our new city.
