The LeMoyne-Owen College is an educational institution that offers a range of academic and extracurricular programs. Its campus features an administrative building, fine arts and humanities center, library, gymnasium, bookstore, theater, swimming pool, and physical education facilities student lounges and recreation, dining and meeting rooms, laboratories and classrooms, as well as computer and mathematics and science learning centers. The college was established by the merger between Owen and LeMoyne Colleges in 1968 to provide liberal arts education with career training in a Christian setting. It is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The LeMoyne-Owen College provides learning opportunities in the areas of education, social studies, behavioral sciences, business and economic development, and fine arts and humanities.
