Take your business elsewhere. CK's is a beautiful salon, unfortunately they don't have the service to match. My fist and last time going was last week. I asked the woman to "square" my nails...she only and barely filed the tips of my nails and not the sides. I guess she thought I was too ignorant to know the difference. Luckily for her, I didn't have the energy to address it. Some of my nails are uneven and are definitely not squared as I requested. Thankfully I wear my nails short so it's not as visible. Also, I got shellac polish. She didn't do the best job at painting them and my thumb is peeling already. I got them done this past Saturday...it'ssupposed to last 2 weeks. Highly disappointed. Won't be back.
This place doesn't deserve to be in business.
I stopped by this place because I was in the area and just wanted a quick manicure. I've spent 2 years in Vietnam a few years ago for a job so I know a little bit of the language. I eavesdropped on some of the employee's (specifically the two women's) conversations while I was there. Let me tell you, they are the most incredibly racist and disrespectful people I've met. They referred to their customers as dogs and freaks. I pretended as if I couldn't understand them. The one doing my nails was Helen and oh boy did she have a mouth on her. I couldn't tell her that I didn't like what she was doing with my mani without her cussing me out in my face in Vietnamese and the whole time she thought she was clever and funny. I'm appalled that this was how they run their business. I paid my bill even though my nails were crooked and the polish was uneven. When I didn't leave a tip, she called me cheap. Thanks, Helen.
I tried CK Nails because I got a coupon in the mail. It was so hot in there - it was a warm day in January - that I almost left but they had fans at every seat. I got a full set of acrylics. The lady doing them seemed to be in charge of the place. When she was separating my skin from the nail she pressed down with her thumb nail way too hard around each nail and there are cuts all around my fingernails. I am not a picky princess nail salon frequenter but I know your fingers aren't supposed to be torn up when you leave. Somebody said, "no pain no gain," as this was happening. I ended up just letting her do whatever because I asked for my nails to be shorter about 4 times and they were never much shorter so I gave up. She asked if I wanted the tip thin or over half the nail, I said thin, and she did half. also asked for a manicure and didn't receive one. I wasn't charged for one and after all this I was just ready to go.
