Troopers act like jack booted thugs by trampling on the rights of law abiding citizens. They are a threat to law and order not upholders of it. They are a danger to the citizens of Tennessee and any unfortunate souk who travels thru the state of Tennessee. I encourage everyone to steer as far clear of these tin badge wearing hoods as possible.
This impound lot will do anything possible to make you waste as much time, gas, and money as possible. Their crooked operations are apparently not condoned by the officers at Memphis PD on 271 poplar. I had to have help from an officer to stop them from giving me the run around. Instead of giving you a list of all requirements to get your vehicle off the lot, they tell you one at a time. I was even given a task which the employee KNEW was not possible, but I have connections and got an inmate's signature on a document, one that Memphis PD told me I didn't even need to present to pickup the vehicle, on a no visits allowed day. The employee suggested that I forged the signature because she thought that it was not possible that I got the inmate to sign it. Without help from officers at Memphis PD at 271 Poplar, I would have been scammed out of ANOTHER $30 day. $525 on top of $125 towing. They post wrong impound phone numbers online. When I asked why they didn't tell me during my last visit that I needed the inmate's signature on a different document (I already had a Memphis PD notarized vehicle release form with the inmate's signature on it), the employee argued that I didn't ask... at which point I called Memphis PD, and THEN the employees immediately became very helpful. After the call to Memphis PD, I was out of there in about 10 minutes, no problems. Legalized crime at this impound lot.
