Best casual/fine dining in East Memphis. The menu changes often, but the toasted ravioli are a constant and a must get favorite. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly and they have valet parking which solves the minimal parking space issues. Try going for the "no menu Monday" for a special treat. The bar area expanded recently and carries an amazing wine list.

Best casual dining in Memphis. Delicious seasonal menu and great beer and wine selection. They also have some amazing craft cocktails. Service is friendly and the pizzas are perfect! They accept reservations and can accommodate a large party. Patio is great during warm weather seasons.
WORST DINING EXPERIENCE EVER!!Went for a nice dinner and that is not what was experienced: My server Jakobe was nice but clueless. The manager Bobby was even WORSE. 1. Salad and breadsticks were brought out. Bread was burnt on one side. Salad was not enough for 3 people. Still we felt the night may get better as our server was nice. We simply asked for more salad. It didn't come. 2. When food was brought out my daughter's order was wrong. She asked for shrimp pasta and received chicken. Still no salad. And no drink refills. My food was lukewarm and my pasta sauce was thin and watery (ordered a Tour of Italy). The server (Jakobe) offered to get Bobby (the "manager"). 3. Bobby took FOREVER to come over. And he offered no apologies for my daughter having to wait and watch is eat while waiting on her meal to be corrected or for my order to be corrected. He offered to get me something else. I just wanted what I'd ordered to be remade, because that's what I had come to Olive Garden for. He simply said ok and took my plate. Again, no apology or offering of any incentive. Still no salad. And no refills. 4. My boyfriend ordered endless pasta and was never asked about a refill on his pasta. He was nearly done when we finally received drink refills. Still no salad though. 5. We are an hour into dinner and neither myself or my daughter have eaten our main meal. Still no salad. 6. My daughter received her plate, and this point I was still waiting on mine. Still no salad. 7. I let Jakobe walk past us maybe 3 times before realizing maybe he isn't as eager to help as I originally thought. He kept checking on the table next to us but wouldnt stop to check on us. THREE times I let him do this before finally calling out to him when he was about to walk by a 4th time. I asked "Hey Kobe, man, what happened to our salad?" He responded that the workers in the kitchen had to put more items on the salad bar and it would be right out. How could that be when this is AN HOUR LATER!...
Very cool atmosphere, service was good and the food was very affordable, thinking of doing my family reunion in there banquet room.
We got our food which was delicious. Unfortunately after receiving our food it took asking two separate people for a refill on drinks. And we were finished with meal by the time we got them.
I ate here and ordered off the "gluten free" menu. They served me regular pasta instead. The food was good but the ramifications of what they did was rather disturbing to my health and view of this establishment. I will never go again. They basically poisoned me.
im a sth memphis vet .so all I know it Coletta's! even granny worked there! they r the bomb.com
Not a great experience. Our waitress was very inconsistent and not very helpful or accomidating at all. I understand that people have bad nights so this wasn't the biggest issue. Our biggest issue was that my wife, who is pregnant and also a vegan, was extremely limited on options to begin with. Because she is a vegan, we're very understanding of the fact that there aren't always alot of options, however they were completely unable to help meet her dietary choices. Not only were they completely unwilling to subsitute components of the dishes, say maybe leave off anchoives or becasue she's pregnant and she can't eat soft cheeses like goat cheese, maybe leave it off. Apparently their "chef" thinks so highly of his dishes that "every component makes his dish special." Well how about think outside of the box and be able to help cater to the needs of say a vegan or pregnant woman. It's not like we asked for you to substitute anchoives and goat cheese for shrimp or steak, but maybe the option to put parmasean instead of soft cheese would have been a nice option, or hey how about you throw in a few pieces of veg. instead of anchoives. Guess we should have stuck to going to Andrew Michael's or Iris, where they are always more than accomodating of needs. And probably why they continue to win numerous awards and are consistently in the Top of everyone's Best in Town class.
good food, fresh and tasty.
I made many jokes about Olive Garden having the worst Italian food, and after eating at Pete & Sam's, I owe the Olive Garden an apology. Pete & Sam's is the worst. The food, the service, the facility, and the prices were all substandard. Our party sat where half the table had lighting and the other half was so dark, I had to use my cell phone to make light to read the menu. The waiter made a rude remark to our guest for having confused him by ordering a "plain" salad, which the waiter interpreted as a "dry" salad, and upon correcting him, he got irritated, to which I sternly corrected him right back. I had to get up to get our guest straws, get my own beer that he forgot, and other things. I had to ask other waiters for help because mine was no where to be found, and the other waiters seemed embarrassed about it. The food that I sampled from others at the table, including my own was bland, plain, burned, or just nasty. I spotted several people offering their food to others at the table because they didn't like it. I saw one person scraping something gross off his food that was not food. I ordered the eggplant parmigiana, which had many parts darker black than my car tires. I chipped off the burned sections and tried eating the rest, but it was the most repulsive eggplant parmigiana I ever had. It was so soggy, it could have been a soup. After pouring it out of the stainless steel boat they cooked it in and onto a plate, I notice the entire bottom was black and burned. Nasty. The salad was no better, just a small bowl of iceberg lettuce and a few pieces of tomato hardly worth mentioning, and for that they charged an extra $4.50 (an overcharge of a buck from their menu listed price). I was eager to forget this horrible dining experience, get up from the dark drab hole we were seated in, and get in my car in their worn down parking lot and leave, but that's when I noticed the 'insult to injury'. They had hidden $7 in the subtotal (and no it was not gratuity). Understand, they hand write their tickets, and do not use a calculator tape to show the math, which makes it easy to overcharge (purposely or not) a customer. Not only was I overcharged, but I was then charged tax on the overcharge. I held up the line with no apologies to have them run it on an adding machine, and they were embarrassed to find I caught them. No apologies from them, just defense for their waiter making a mistake in doing simple math. They cared more about their incompetent (possibly dishonest) employees than customers. After eating at the Cordova location about three times, this was about my fourth time trying them out. I thought maybe their main location would be better. Nope. It was horrible in all areas of dining. Now, I know what you're going to say, but they are a Memphis landmark. That means nothing to me when I'm rating the dining experience and especially the food and service. I have tried them enough times now to know that they must have a cult following to continue giving them business when the food, service, prices, and atmosphere is as bad as I described. They are a complete waste of time and money to eat there. But if you want to support them just because they are a Memphis landmark, go for it. I just recommend you eat first and don't expect much from the service.
