Forest Hill Cemetery - Holmes RoadMy mom ordered my dad's headstone in October 2017 and due to a supposed clerical mistake on the cemeteries part the headstone may not be in until April if that. At first they said they would expedite the head stone but now they are doing nothing. My mom is 77 years old and lost her husband of 60 years last October. The runaround she has gotten has had her so distraught that I thought she might have a stroke. I cannot but help wonder if the delay has to do with financial reasons as the place looks unkept. There are broken vases all over which the cemetery attributes to the mowers. My great grand mother's metal vase was broken in June and not repaired until October when I was there for my dad' s funeral. This means you cannot place flowers on the graves. They also do not clean up old flowers and stands so the place looks junky and some of the graves look sunken.
An absolute disaster of a company. They are run by a corporation that will try and pull every dime they can from you. We have several plots here and have had a horrible experience trying to order a gravestone. It is very disappointing how poor their service and professionalism is. Do your research before you choose this place to care for the memory of your loved ones.
A member of the family by my wife's 1st marriage passed and it fell to us to make arrangements. I barely knew the guy and was working in the dark. He was a veteran, (as am I), so I felt a proper memorial was necessary. With all the unanswered questions and delays this hardly went smoothly. The staff at Signature were great. They worked with us, despite the delays and made sure everything went as it should. They were patient and supportive. They were the most reasonably priced and I would do business with them anytime.
I visited their office in June of 2016 to speak with someone about adding a name plate to my grandmother's headstone. We reviewed a couple of options, he quoted me a price on the low end of my request and advised me I would receive a proof to review in about 4 to 6 weeks. In early July my credit card was billed and I waited for the emailed proof. In September my mother began reaching out to the office in person and by phone to inquire the status of our request and repeatedly she was put off. I went into the office thinking I could be a little more firm and I too was told I would get a call the next day. I did not and I contacted the owners of the grounds, Stone Moor. A representative replied to my email immediately giving me hope that someone would finally help me. But she too repeatedly promised to follow up but never did. In 2016 the extremely poor service is remarkable to me. I paid for a service and have been essentially ignored.
I had my grandmother funeral here.I wouldn't recommend anyone to let there love ones get anything done with these people.they are very unprofessional had to tell the director to step out while reviewing my grandmothers remain because he was laughing so loud in our final moments with her.plus the escort didn't wait in all the family's members to get in line drive off really fast, cursed and was very rude and unapologetic.just a major disgrace.dont bring her love ones here
Well my grandmothers service was held at the one on newgetwell it was did timely and nicely but unprofessional.while viewing her we had to ask one of the workers to step out cause he was laughing and talking on his phone while we viewed her.the procession line was started without half of the family members leaving the man leading it cussed at a family member cause we were trying to wait for the others.there was traffic cutting in and out of our funeral line and we only had four cars following us which it was supposed to be 15.I was very displeased and let down
SO, SO SORRY I WENT THERE for my mothers' PRE-ARRANGED cremation!! I chose them for their location, and because they had been there for years. From beginning to end- incompetence. Cremation was promised in 1-2 days by the owner, but was not completed until 9 days after promise date!! Her pre-arrangement wishes were not honored- when she was FINALLY cremated, they put her in a box, instead of the urn I SPECIFICALLY selected two years earlier!! It was not in stock and had to be ordered, so I finally took my mother home 13 days AFTER her death!! I was shorted on the pre-ordered number of death certificates, which they had to re-order. All I ever heard was EXCUSE AFTER EXCUSE...staff on vacation, new, "overwhelmed" employees, the dog ate my homework, etc, etc. I spoke AT LENGTH with owner Al Tacker, who was sympathetic, but seemed incapable of implementing any changes to improve customer service. He almost seemed intimidated by his staff, and afraid to ruffle their feathers. This business is sloppy and inconsistent. I would NEVER RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE!!!
I highly recommend Signature Funeral Services, they saved the day in our time of need!Provided the best service and price over anyone in town.thanks again,
The services were wonderful. However when it came to the insurance policy of my great aunt, there was some things that were not ethically handled by the office staff. Forms were notarized without signatures, and it was virtually impossible to have a telephone call returned. Mrs. Ford was uncommonly rude and aloof.
Such a warm and friendly company to deal with.
