been trying to get in contact w this office since march they set appointments, dont call or call at a time not scheduled people have things to do too. They're not considerate of doing things in a timely manner, like why schedule a time if the person is going to be on lunch or out of the office, there should be enough people in the department to split the calls and reach those times to people. call the time yall set scheduled. right now im on the hold again to set yet another appointment... fourth time mind you.
This impound lot will do anything possible to make you waste as much time, gas, and money as possible. Their crooked operations are apparently not condoned by the officers at Memphis PD on 271 poplar. I had to have help from an officer to stop them from giving me the run around. Instead of giving you a list of all requirements to get your vehicle off the lot, they tell you one at a time. I was even given a task which the employee KNEW was not possible, but I have connections and got an inmate's signature on a document, one that Memphis PD told me I didn't even need to present to pickup the vehicle, on a no visits allowed day. The employee suggested that I forged the signature because she thought that it was not possible that I got the inmate to sign it. Without help from officers at Memphis PD at 271 Poplar, I would have been scammed out of ANOTHER $30 day. $525 on top of $125 towing. They post wrong impound phone numbers online. When I asked why they didn't tell me during my last visit that I needed the inmate's signature on a different document (I already had a Memphis PD notarized vehicle release form with the inmate's signature on it), the employee argued that I didn't ask... at which point I called Memphis PD, and THEN the employees immediately became very helpful. After the call to Memphis PD, I was out of there in about 10 minutes, no problems. Legalized crime at this impound lot.
I catch the 57 as a transfer from the 32 home everyday from my school and quite frankly I don't even know why there's a schedule because it's never on time. Then even when it's already an hour late, they have the slowest driver on duty. Like right now I'm on the bus and she's doing at the most 10 miles/hr. It shouldn't take me 2 hours to get home everyday when it only took 1 hour to get out here. It's ridiculous!!! Things need to change!!! Seriously!!!
