The staff is very rude and unprofessional. Every time I go the staff is always using their cell phones. I dont understand how can you assist a patient if your face is down in your phone.I also have encountered the staff talking negatively about a patient which I find very rude. I will no longer allow my kids to attend any Memphis children clinics.When I have previously called to make appointments they wait till I arrive to tell me about any issues with my insurance which is causing me to make blank trips and this has happened numerous of time. I will not recommend Memphis children clinic on Kirby parkway to anyone !!!
Went to the clinic with pink eye and sore throat and the nurse on duty was very unprofessional. She did not properly check me out and I had to go back the same week. Would never recommend to anyone
I called on Monday and made an appoiment for today which is Thursday they lady who answered was giggling in the background.. My husband and I took off so we could take our child to the doctor please tell me why she set the appointment for Monday! The lady there was setting all the way at the back did not speak when we got there and didn't care that the mistake was on their end.. She said "we have you down as a no show." Really? I have only missed one appointment and that was due to the exact same thing.. It's apparent they receptionist could care less about the patients.. The physicians are great but they are continuously loosing business due to the front office staff...
my 6 year old twins and my 11 month old daughter have been going to the Memphis childrens clinic since they were born. We have had very little issues with the staff or the physicians. My children have always been well taken care of and the nurses are especially caring and gentle with my kids. I understand that most children's clinics are in high demand and scheduling is often difficult. The wait times are what made me rate them a four star instead of a 5 star. Most of the time I am in to see the doctor no more than 30 minutes past my scheduled appointment time, but I have had to wait more than an hour. However, the doctors are willing to answer all my questions & 2 address any concerns that I may have. The only time I've ever had any issues was when I try to do a walk in on a Saturday at the Bartlett location. They prefer that you call ahead of time and make an appointment. They have acute care at the Kirby center location, which does take walk ins. So that would be the location that I would go to from now on for any acute care issues after hours. the Germantown location is located in the Methodist LeBonheur hospital, and is an especially good clinic if you are close to that one.
The worst doctor's office I have ever been in. The front office staff is rude. The doctor had never opened my child's chart before. And when I complained, I was told that I should be greatful that they weren't firing me as a patient. They are one of the few practices in Memphis that take TennCare. My children are on TennCare because they are adopted and that was one of the benefits that the state supplied due to the lenght of time they had been in foster care prior to us adopting them. I have since placed them on my insurance through work. Just because a patient has state insurance doesn't mean they do not deserve quality healthcare. We have lived in a different part of the state, and I assure you that that in Middle Tennessee we were able to see some of the best pediatircians in the area, in the nicest offices. We were not relagated to substandard office due to state insurance.
I need to use a minor emergency clinic today. Is it just too much to expect that the hours of operations would be listed? When I called the phone number, I get a message that the mailbox is full. This is not real professional folks. Also, on my insurance website (UHS) there are NO details listed for this clinic. Do they have an Xray machine? Do they have MDs or nurse practitioners? I hope their lo-tech approach to business does not reflect their medical expertise!PS. I went to the address listed on the online YellowPages. The clinic closed TWO Years AGO!
