Rich Mixon - BellSouth Corporation Collisionworx Auto Body was first "introduced" to me by accident while traveling through Memphis, TN from the Mississippi Gulf coast en route for East Tennessee. I was involved in an MVA (motor vehicle accident), in this metropolitan city of 1,000,000 residents. I was alone and knew nobody within 800 an mile radius (300 miles East & 500 miles South). My Toyota Camry suffered severe damage of the complete front end. The impact of the collision was so severe my hood was bent in half, pushed towards the windshield ("V" shaped). In 5:00pm commuter traffic, The Memphis Police notified a "wrecker service" to come to the scene with a flatbed (my Camry could not be "towed'.) The driver transported me & the remains of my Toyota Camry to 6916 Appling Farms Pkwy (Whitten Rd, I-40 Exit 15 (zip 38133). When I arrived I saw the nicest, cleanest Auto Body Shop I had ever seen. My initial thought was $$. I was mistaken. On that date, I had the privilege to meet Mr. Whitlock. He was so "calming" and reassuring. He showed much concern for my "well being" as he did for my vehicle. Being 6:00pm, Collisionworx was closing...Mr. Whitlock asked his staff to stay until he knew I had transportation enroute and had obtained my work related belongings from my vehicle. He provided me his personal number and graciously invited me to remain on the property until my ride (from East TN) arrived. He even phoned me from his personal phone to "check" on me. The following weeks he contacted me to advise me the "updates & status" progress Collisionworx had made on my Camry. When COLLISIONWORX repaired my car in a duration of time (I did not think was possible), I did not recognize my car. It looked better than it did before the collision. The body work was the most elite ever. The painting process looked of better quality than Toyota applied at the factory. Today, that was 3 years 7 months ago. I have only had oil changes & replaced tires per regular maintenance. Not one "sign" the car had ever been in a collision. *Unlike many other auto body experiences I have heard, Mr. Whitlock was 100% available & concerned "how is your car doing". He was aware I was "passing through" Memphis but continued to treat me as if I was local. I continue to correspond with Collisionworx 3+ years later. Recently I needed minor body work done. I went to 2 local body shops. Their work was far below standard. Family/friends said it was unnecessary to drive 4 hours to Memphis (to Collisionworx) to have this unrelated body work done. My reply was simply, "You have never been to "Collisonworx". That is all I can say to you also. I consider Mr. Whitlock a friend, and his staff my family. The staff, namely "Patricia" & "Pat" were and continue to be so good to me. When I phone regarding my Camry (annual maintenance, etc) I feel they stop what they are doing and listen to me and respond with care. If only our society had more businesses & individuals such as the family at Collisionworx, we would be in "safer trusting hands". I was never made to feel that Collisionworx was simply trying to "make $" from a motorist at another's mercy. You have my word as well as Collisionworx's, there is NO OTHER AUTO BODY shop. -Rich Mixon, East Tennessee"
I was in an accident in the early part of December. As the person at fault had Geico Insurance, I was given the option of Desoto Collision to perform the repairs. The office is run like a well-oiled machine. I walked into the office and gave my name, Kevin from Geico walked out of a side office, introduced himself and explained the entire process. After walking outside to assess the damage, the service manager walked out and introduced himself and again went over in detail the entire process. I had an out-of-state inspection sticker, and other stickers on the front, side and back windows, and though not part of the accident, when I asked if they could remove them, the service manager expressed that he would have the stickers removed. My car was in the shop from 12/8 to 12/29, and throughout the process I received regular texts and phone calls to update me on the service being performed and expected completion date. The evening I picked up my car, I met the infamous Patrick, who also was very professional. As with everyone I met, Patrick was very clear about the work that had been performed and made himself available for any concerns I might have in the future. As I am recently moved to Memphis, Patrick offered himself as a resource for any concerns I may have with my car. I have read the reviews below and am surprised. I expected Patrick to be this sleazy/shady character, but in fact he was the exact opposite. My experience was very positive. They were apologetic about the wait time but due to the holidays, I understood it could not be helped. I was provided a rental for 30 days, so there really was nothing to complain about. I would certainly take my car to Desoto if I need body work in the future!!!
As we all know it can be tricky for any of us on a car lot, especially when buying used. You never know if you're getting a great car, the best price, etc. Well after many months of internet searching I went to view a few Infiiniti G35's in person. Car Smart of Memphis was by far the most friendly, personable, low-stress environment I came in contact with. They had the best price within 500 miles of Memphis according to all the different searches I did. They work with 3 different financial institues to make sure that you get the best loan available (it was even better than what the bank was going to offer me). Rodney (sales), and John (finance), both took AMAZING care of me, they were laid back enough to let me make a decision on my own and when it was time to decide on the car, the paperwork was quick, painless, and explained very thorough. Everything was on MY time...I test drove the car a few times before returning back to purchase it. I do not regret anything about this purchase. I'd rather give my money to them any day over a large dealership. Even better, when I went to get the oil change right after I purchsed it, Valvoline said it was in great shape and didn't need anything at all. What a relief! Go see Rodney :) My word that he'll make buying a car easy and stress-free.
I recently had a bumper repaired by The Dent Shop, someone had backed into my driver side rear bumper in a parking lot and just left I didn't want to send it through my insurance so I asked the guys at the shop if they thought they could pull the bumper out well they did such a professional and unbelievably good job that you would never know anybody had been so stupid as to bump into my SUV if they thought they could pull the bumper out well they did such a professional and unbelievably good job that you would never know anybody had been so stupid as to bump into my SUV. I couldn't believe my eyes when they returned my SUV to me It looked as though it had never been touched by another vehicle or human hands it look like it had just come off the lot thank you so much for such a wonderful. I highly recommend their work as auto body repair people and also as those who do an excellent job in auto detailing I bought my husband a gift cert those who do an excellent job in auto detailing I bought my husband gift certificate for x-mas he was completely satisfied with their work his car looks brand-new and I just recently had my SUV done and it looked brand-new these guys are good that's all I can say five star rating.
By far this is the friendliest, best staffed, and most professional motorcycle dealer in Memphis. Ben is a salesperson on the floor who has always spent time with me discussing the aspects of the bikes I like, and even after I have said I would not be buying for a while. This is great as I feel welcome there and know that I will be greeted by a staff that has the knowledge and truly seems to enjoy their jobs. At some of the competitors I did not receive anything close to this professional and upbeat reception. It was also reassuring that a mechanic I talked to on his break said their service window stays the same year round as far as wait time while down the street I was told by a competitor it would be three weeks before they could look at my bike since it was summer. While I have not bought a bike there yet as I have always had used bikes, and after four years in Memphis riding and seeking out parts and advice as well as service, there is no doubt Honda/Yamaha on Mt. Moriah is the place I am given the most respect as a walk in customer. They also have easily the most bikes on the floor and the biggest service garage of any dealer in the 901 Memphis zip code. To me this is the place to buy a bike in town.
For months I watched them build this "cook out" and I've always wondered about it. But I saw a great review on this place stating the food was excellent and the price was great. So while driving past it one day, I noticed the customer's line was actually in the right lane of the street traffic. Now, I thought any place that could attract a crowd, like that was worth joining the excitement. I couldn't wait to place my order and test the food. I can't assure you that everything is worth a fuss. But when I bit into my burger, I was hooked for life!!! This burger, my daughter told me was so unique because it's freshly prepared and slapped on a grill to get a taste that will literally send you to heaven...LoL! I wasn't so enthused with the fries/onion rings but the burger was reasonably priced and delicious. It's better than mom's home-made burgers. Yes, I'm in LoVe. I now see why people are forming a long line, it's really hard to find delicious fast food these days anymore worth the stop. People can eat/dine inside also but I love food on the go. I predict they will have to re-locate very soon due to their success.
I purchase my 2008 TSX right off the back of the truck bringing it in to the lot. I receive excellent service from the sales manager all the way to the service department. In my years for purchasing a new car, Acura in my opinion has the BEST service department you can look or ask for. The service managers really go out of their way to make sure all needs have been met. That is one of the star quality they offer that will keep me coming back to purchase another Acura. The saleman I had @ the time was good to about a 4 but, I think he was new. The sales manager was great! The only little small complaint I have. I had to actually come to the office 3 times before they got all my figures together. The system or something wasn't adding my sales tax correctly, so with that I actually signed three different contracts before it was my last. However, they did make up for it with a full tank of gas! So, that weighed out. They are very good @ what they do. I LOVE the car! and the service department gets a 5 star by itself. Keep up the good work.
When you are ready for a new car, start with Chuck Hutton Chevrolet. When I bought my Chevy Aveo there recently, the sales experience was exceptional, but the Service Department is just as remarkable, I soon discovered. I took my car in last week because I was unable to get the A/C running efficiently. Terry Lamb explained that I was not pressing the right buttons, She not only told me; Terry took me out to my vehicle and showed me several ways to take best advantage of the car's cooling system. While my car was undergoing a routine inspection, the staff noticed bubbling on the grille. I hadn't even detected that, but the grille was replaced without charge. I know that the city of Memphis is currently gathering votes for this year's "Best of." I am pleased, but not surprised, to see Chuck Hutton among the top dealerships. I am determined to juggle my schedule, by the way, to take advantage of Wednesdays: Ladies' Day. What a nice custom! Keep up the good work, Terry!
A week ago I took a chance and flew to Memphis from New York to buy a car I always wanted, Honda Element SC. I explained to Bo Brigs and Marsha Rios that I will have to drive back about 1050 miles and hoped for a fair disclosure of anything that needed to be fixed and the process. Bo was kind enough to contact his friend Darrel who met me at the airport. Both Marsha and Bo were professional, open and actually curious that I came all the way to buy a car from them. I went to the Honda dealership to change oil and do some checks. We closed the transaction very quickly. It took me 23 hours to drive back to New York. I went thru snow storm in Virginia. It was not an easy drive. But, I am very happy with the purchase. You definitely need to check any car before you buy it. I did request the 40 point inspection at the Honda dealership before flying in. There are always small things that can be done better, but I do believe that Bo, Marsha, and Darrel did a great job. I've been taking my vehicles to Sonny Berryhill for years now - nearly 25! (I believe he's been in business since 1971) He never fails to impress with his incredible work. From Corvettes to Cavaliers, he's done em all. Several of my vehicles have been nearly brand new when they were wrecked. Believe it or not, the quality of his paint work is BETTER than from the factory! There's definitely something to be said about the kind of attention to detail that he demands on every car. The way he does business is old school - the right way! I could go on and on about all the great experiences I've had, but I believe I've gotten my point across! Another HUGE plus for us - they PICK UP AND DELIVER!!! try getting a big corporate shop like A*RA or M**CO to do that! Fat chance! Oh yes, and my cars have always been SPOTLESS when I come to pick them up, regardless of their previous conditions. Wish more people in this world cared about their customers like Sonny.
